Fleeting Moments
.
Days pass by so quickly,
minutes seem to fly,
Things we take for granted,
a new born baby's cry.
Patiently we all await,
the moment you appear,
Dreams of what may someday
be, things that we may fear.
.
We each have made predictions,
of the gender you will be,
Knowing that the future,
holds things for you to see.
A healthy life, is what
we wish, for you, little Meryl,
We all were pleased
as can be, that you are a tiny girl.
.
A vision in the finest
sense, a wonder to behold,
We had such hopes, for
you sweet babe, we now are growing old.
Oh where the fairness
in this world, is there none I fear?
When an infant can be
taken, from those who hold her dear.
.
You are gone, but not
forgotten, we will always hold a place,
In our hearts and memories,
of that sweet angelic face.
"Fleeting moments,
touched us deeply", this phrase just for you,
For us it holds the
moments, of one we barely knew.
