Border Busters
.
This adventure started
out, early Grey Cup Day,
Schinbein and Wayne
Galvin, were out on Marine Way.
Working with their radar,
catching speeding cars,
But something big would
happen, it was written in the stars.
.
One young man decided,
he just would make no stops,
And so he kept on speeding,
to try and lose these cops.
He led them on a merry
chase, to the Fraser Bridge,
Up he went, and over,
on past the Delta Ridge.
.
The guys had called
for cover, from the Delta force,
And soon were joined
by two of them, uniformed of course.
The parade was quickly
growing, the suspect and police,
Heading quickly southbound,
towards the Arch of Peace.
.
But somewhere close
to White Rock, Delta chickened out,
Not our own two traffic
men, they would catch this lout.
They chased this eager
speeder, towards the "Untied States",
They would soon make
headlines, and all would meet their fates.
.
The Mounties should
be waiting, to stop him near the line,
But when they all arrived
there, things were not so fine.
For not a single Red
Coat, was anywhere in sight,
To stop this speeding
maniac, from his fearful flight.
.
Galvin's hopes were
rising, the road ahead was plugged,
With Sunday U.S. tourists,
but this driver must be drugged.
He jumped the curb and
headed, out across the grass,
Towards the border guardsmen,
who would surely nail his ass.
.
But no, our guys were
fated, to go down in history,
Arrest him down in Stateside,
The True North Strong and Free.
They all crashed through
the border, south in northbound lanes,
It's clear this raving
maniac, was sadly lacking brains.
.
For now the State Patrol
guys, would join into this case,
And be the final units,
the ones to end this chase.
For now they had him
boxed in, his car was at a stop,
It was time to see which
one would win, crook or traffic cop.
.
The guy kept right on
fighting, to try and get away,
But a Trooper with a
TASER, put the lights out on his day.
Ted and Wayne returned
home, from their visit way down there,
And slowly crossed the
border, WITH NOTHING TO DECLARE.
