Mom

.
Mom you mean so much to me, as we passed through all these years,
You were always there beside me, through happiness and tears.
A parent is the toughest role, someone can try to be,
You always said that one day I, would have my own and see.
.
That day has come, I understand, the lessons that you gave,
The total self restraint you had, when I chose to misbehave.
There are the happy moments, too many to recall,
Many times you comforted, when I slipped and had a fall.
.
You were always there when needed, a confidant and friend,
A teacher and a leader, I will love you 'till the end.
You always had the answer, or a way to make me smile,
When things just needed doing, you went the extra mile.
.
I don't know how to thank you, I'll just have to carry on,
And pass along the things you taught, to my daughters and my son.
I know that you will always be, right there by my side,
Providing all the guidance, through my memories inside.
.
Your kindness springs eternal, your hopes through all the years,
These are things that always live, beyond pain and falling tears.
No matter what will happen, to one of us or all,
There will always be the little things, each of us recall.
.
The lessons that you gave us, the love you always show,
Will carry through our lifetime, a debt we'll always owe.
Somewhere I'm sure we'll meet again, but right now hear me say,
I love you Mom forever, 'till I face my judgement day.
