Tucker 3:16 Facts and Stuff...
- What's up with the lame title of your page? I mean how unoriginal can you be?
- The explanation for the horrible title is easy. You see Tucker 3:16 is just one of the many webpages I have created over the past couple of years, and was originally built some time around 1997. Back then it was one of the few small tributes to Steve Austin to be found on the web and consisted of a few pictures, some wav sounds and that's about it! As Austin's popularity grew pages devoted to him were popping up everywhere…Every guy and his dog had a site affectionately called "your name here" 3:16! It soon became clear that it was no longer acceptable to be the webmaster of a Steve Austin site. I eventually stopped updating due to lack of interest, and the obvious overkill on the subject. Then this March 99' I decided out of boredom and embarrassment to revamp the whole page, I elected not to change the title for nostalgic reasons, some say I should, but I believe the content of the site more than make up for the very bad name. It's just scary to think that at one time the title was cool…my how the times
change quickly!
- There are thousands of wrestling web sites out there so why should I bookmark yours?
- My answer to that question is this:
- The Internet has been revolutionary for professional wrestling and there are literally thousands of homepages all over the World Wide Web. It can be quite a difficult task to sort through the hordes of pages in order to find the quality information and multimedia you are looking for. So we here at Tucker 3:16 have attempted to make your life a little easier! We have spent countless hours, days and years collecting links to great sites and presenting the best quality multimedia! All our links are to sites that are without a doubt tops in their field; no matter what it is you are looking for you should find it somewhere within our resources. It's worthwhile to keep coming back here, it's impossible to check everything out in just one or two stops…Tucker 3:16 is your wrestling search engine, so when you bookmark us, you bookmark wrestling on the web!
- Can I use stuff from your page?
- Everything on my site is free for the taking, I know others demand that you ask permission, but not me! Chances are they stole if from some place else anyway! But please DO NOT link directly to my files, this will just slow down my page and yours - save what you want to use on your own sever! If you do choose to use something from the contents of Tucker 3:16 I would greatly appreciate a link to my main page: https://members.tripod.com/~Tucker_M/AUSTINEX.html, it's the least you can do!
- What have you got against WCW and ECW?
- Well nothing really, I just prefer WWF's product, and as such support their organization. I have never been a fan of WCW and ECW is not televised where I live. It's hard to be all things to all people, that is why I have provided links to many great pages where you will find what you want. As for Tucker 3:16, all the sounds, pictures and columns will concentrate solely on past and present WWF stars…and that's the way it is going to stay!
- Why don't you start your own rumors page?
- Well if I did that, all the information would just be stuff that I stole from other people's pages. I am not a wrestling insider, I don't have the inside lines, and thus the rumors wouldn't be mine to give you. Check out my rumor pages directory for many great rumor sites!
- Where are your paid advertisements?
- Well this is a totally non-commercial site, and I refuse to plaster slow loading ugly banners all over the place. The fact is that ads are a waste of time and clutter up the page! Now you may find a link exchange banner every now and then, but I don't usually stick with these, as I highly doubt their potential to bring traffic! Besides that, any plugs are personal and I do not get paid for them!
- Why don't you have your own domain name? Why are you using this crappy Tripod service?
- Well just as I have never received a dime for this site, I have never spent a dime…and that's the way I'd like to keep it! The fact is Tripod is a great service and plenty of people have built great sites that get allot of hits on their server! If they get hits, why can't I? In my opinion the cost of a domain name by far out way the benefits! For me it's just not worth it!
