The following are shorter, indulgenced prayers of the Church - any one of which we can pray at any time throughout the day. This collection also includes the beautiful Fatima prayers.

Such prayers help us realize we are always in the presence of God. They assist us in overcoming temptation, and they allow us to gain indulgences either for ourselves or for the poor souls in purgatory. They also allow us to make acts of reparation for those who offend God, to pray for the conversion of many souls, and to help us remember we are to sacrifice for sinners.

All for thee, Most Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Blessed be God.

By this holy water and by Your Precious Blood, wash away all my sins, O Lord. (This is a perfect prayer to use when one is using holy water)

Heart of Jesus, source of all purity, have mercy on us.

Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, have mercy on us.

Jesus, Mary and Joseph!

Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, I give you my heart and soul.

Jesus, meek and humble of heart, make my heart like unto thine.

Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us.

Mary, our hope, have pity on us and pray for us.

May the most just, the most high, the most lovable Will of God be in all things done, praised and magnified forever. Amen.

Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Ghost, I adore Thee profoundly. I offer Thee the Most Precious Blood, Body, Soul and Divinity of our Lord, Jesus Christ, present in all the tabernacles throughout the world, in reparation for the outrages, sacriliges, and indifferences by which He Himself is offended. And through the infinite merits of His Most Sacred Heart, and those of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg of thee the covnersion of all poor sinners. Amen. (Known as the Angel of Fatima Prayer, this is the perfect adoration and reparation prayer for our times. It can be prayed privately at home, during the Consecration of the Mass, at the reception of Holy Communion, a Holy Hour, etc. This prayer was revealed by an angel who appeared at Fatima in the year 1917. The angel is believed to be St. Michael, as he is the guardian angel of Portugal. )

My God, I believe, I adore, I trust and I love Thee. I beg pardon for those who do not believe, do not adore, do not trust and do not love Thee. (This is known as the Pardon Prayer of Fatima, taught by the angel to the three children.)

My Jesus, mercy!

My Mother, my hope!

O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell. Lead all souls to heaven, especially those with the greatest need of Thy mercy. (This Rosary Decade Prayer was taught by Our Lady of Fatima. Our Lady said to pray this prayer after each decade of the Rosary. Today it is traditionally prayed after each Glory Be of a Rosary decade.)

O Jesus, it is for love of Thee, for the conversion of sinners, and in reparation for the sins committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary. (This is another of the prayers taught by Our Lady herself to the three children of Fatima. Today it is called the Sacrifice Prayer. In 1917, Our Lady said, "Sacrifice yourself for sinners, and say many times, especially whenever you make some sacrifice, O Jesus, it is for love of Thee, etc.")

O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.

O Mary, my Queen and Mother, remember I am all thine. Keep me and guard me as thy property and possession. Amen.

O most Holy Trinity, I adore Thee! My God, my God, I love Thee in the Most Blessed Sacrament of the Altar. (This is a prayer taught by the angel of Fatima to the three shepherd children. Today it is called the Eucharistic Prayer.)

O sweetest Heart of Jesus, I impore that I may ever love Thee more and more.

Our Lady of Good Studies, pray for us.

Praised and adored without end be the Most Blessed Sacrament.

Praised and blessed be the Sacred Heart and the Precious Blood of Jesus in the Most Holy Sacrament of the Altar.

Sacred Heart of Jesus, I trust in Thee.

Sacred Heart of Jesus, Thy kingdom come.

Sweet Heart of Jesus, be my love.

Sweet Heart of Mary, be our salvation.

For the Holy Souls in Purgatory

Merciful Lord Jesus, grant them eternal rest.

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let the perpetual light shine upon them. May (his/her) soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Most Precious Blood of Jesus Christ - in atonement for my sins, in supplication for the holy souls in purgatory, and for the needs of the Holy Church.

Eternal Father, by virtue of Thy generosity and love, I ask that Thou accept all my actions, and that Thou multiply their value in favor of every soul in purgatory, through Christ our Lord. Amen.

May the angels lead them into Paradise. May the martyrs receive them at their coming and take them to Jerusalem, the Holy City. May the Choirs of the Angels receive them and may they, with the once poor Lazarus, have rest everlasting. Amen. (This prayer can also be prayed for individual loved ones who are now deceased.)
