With 5 weeks to go till opening night, catch it if you can. US TV premiere of "Let It Be Me" John Malone’s Starz pay-TV network will ramp up its multiple-run scheduling of original movies from about two or three a year to 12 a year, starting with six U.S. premieres over the next six months featuring such performers as James Spader, Penelope Ann Miller, Marlon Brando, Michael Caine, Charlie Sheen and Patrick Stewart. Five of the six are purchases by Starz of busted theatricals, starting with the Nov. 9 premiere of “Let It Be Me,” with Stewart and Jennifer Beals, about two couples who interact in the world of ballroom dancing. Take note! the film was heavily edited from the screenplay and many of Stewart's scenes lost out in the final version, however it's worth a look. |
