POINTS OF INTEREST ABOUT LOTOLOGY

I have always been a collector of sorts. Including a lifetime of stamps and coins. When I stumbled into a Lotology forum at my local stamp store, I was amazed that I had not seen it before! So basic! Here we are with a government controlled collectible and all the benefits that go with it. Mainly the difficulity and law surrounding counterfeiting, which has been a plague to sports card collecting. Each lottery ticket has its own serial number, by game, packet and individual ticket number on it. Meaning that each ticket is unique - ONE ONLY- The penalty for altering or copying is imposed by government law.. There have been very few examples of tampering to date. The producing of the tickets is done under a controlled environment. The collecting of government produced lottery tickets is comparable to stamps and coins and is possibly the newest biggest collectible trend to be seen in a long time. Right along with phone cards. In fact, we have lottery tickets that are also phonecards! The themes of lottery tickets range widely. Not just gambling. California has came out with a Star Trek set of 6 tickets- continuous design-. ( I prefer to leave sets connected) Louisana usually has themes in respect to their great state such as Cajun Cash and Mardi Gras. The selling price of tickets also varies. Such as the Conneticut $25.00 "GIFTHORSE" 4/93-sold only at race tracks, to the Florida 50cents "HAPPY HOLIDAYS", 11/96 which was used as a name tag on Christmas presents.(it was in short supply) Numismatic News has a column for lottery collecting. (They are in the misc section also) The prices have ranged from a penny apiece for a common SC, to as much as $10,000 per set ( ME #04S MT set of 20 different autos 9/76) Catalogs are available to for all states on these my pages. I welcome E-mail inquiries from both members and non-members. (including corrective criticism)

In the future, I will be offering Mint, Scratched and Sample Void tickets for sale from all states, especially Indiana. I am now building my inventory and have at this time around 18,000 on hand.

I will take special orders/requests through E-mail
