What makes Balki, from Perfect
Strangers, a SuperHero is his profound understanding of the essence
of humankind, even though, on the surface he appeared naive.
Balki stood for what was best
in humankind. He believed in truth, justice, and the whopper.
Okay, maybe not the whopper, but he believed in honesty, modesty, giving,
and he was caring.
He was a standup character
who must have made all sheepherders proud. Not to mention that he
won the heart of a knock-out gorgeous female, MaryAnn. And that he
was so very funny (along with his Cousin Larry).

Balki gave up the fame and fortune
of being a rapper because he would not lip sync. How many people
would pass on the cash. I probably wouldn't, and we know of several
artist that didn't.
