Ricky holds 21 NCAA records and 46 UT marks.
Off the field Ricky was chosen by Pres. Bill Clinton as the 1999 national spokesman for the Buckle Up America Campaign.
The New Orleans Saints traded all of
their picks in 1999 and a first and thrid round pick in 2000 to the Washington
Redskins for the right to select Ricky with the fifth pick in the 1999
NFL Draft. It marked the first time in NFL history that a team selected
only one player in the draft. The Saints must have wanted Ricky real
bad!
Here are the statistics
for Ricky's games during the 1998 season.
