COLLECTIVE COMMITTEE for DEMOCRATIC
BURMA has been formed in Melbourne, Australia
by organizations and individual activists in Melbourne
who are working for democracy and human rights in
Burma
-
In accordance with the guidelines
of CCDB, there is a Co-ordination Body,
which is made up of the representatives of each
member organization and individual activists. Collective
Responsibility, Collective Leadership and Collective
Actions are the main formation of the Co-ordination
Body.

The aims and objectives of CCDB
are to topple the military dictatorship and to restore
democracy and human rights in Burma.

To achieve the aims and objectives
of CCDB, other organizations and individual
activists in Melbourne will put in their combined
efforts in assisting and working hand in hand with
CCDB, and other democracy movements within
Burma, and the international communities.

Currently, priorities of CCDB
are as follows:

To continuously analyse democracy
and human rights situation in burma.

To participate in unity in
actions for democracy and human rights in Burma
with other groups in Australia and other countries.

to lobby the Local, State
and Fedral governments of Australia for democracy
and human rights in Burma.

To organize awarenessfor the
people of Australia, of the issues of democracy
and human rights in Burma, and to encourage
them to work together with CCDB.

CCDB invites you and your
support to work with CCDB to stop the military
dictatorship and to re-instate democracy and human
rights in Burma, as expected by the people of Burma.
