SALAAM BY SHAIKH SYED MUBARIK ALI SHAH JILANI

This is a salaam in English with 45 verses recited with loving devotion by the "fuqara" in North America, Muslims of African ancestry whose belief is that the Holy Prophet Sall'Allahu 'alaihi wa Sallam together with Sayyidina Bilal Radhy Allahu 'Anhu and Sultan Bahu Rahmatullahi 'alaih attend the majlis (spiritual gathering) where this salaam is recited. Its chorus is Yaa Nabi Salaam 'Alaika and its opening verses are:

Muhammad is the life of life,

Ahmad is Hammad and Mahmud

Millions of Salaams be upon him!

Kanz of Lahoot, Noor of Jabaroot,

Jamal of Ahad in the Mirror of Meem,

Millions of Salaams be upon him!

Shams-id-Dhuhaa, Badr-id-Dhujaa,

Sadr-il-'Ulaa, Noor-ul-Huda,

Millions of Salaams be upon him!

Kahf-il-Waraa Misbah-iz-Zulam,

Noor-a-Mujassam, Saahibi Judi wal Karam,

Millions of Salaams be upon him!

Mustafa is the Rahmat-ul-lil Aalameen,

The Refuge of sinners, and Rauf-ur-Raheem

Millions of Salaams be upon him!

Imam-ul-Anbiyaa wal Mursaleen,

Muhibbil Fuqaraa-i wal Masaakeen,

Millions of Salaams be upon him!
