Spec. David T. Nutt, 32, of Blackshear, Ga., died on May 14. He was driving a five-ton truck near Mosul when he swerved to the avoid an automobile driven by an Iraqi civilian, post officials said. The truck overturned and Nutt was killed, post officials said.

Nutt was a member of the 494th Transportation Company, 101st Corps Support Group at Fort Campbell.

Nutt entered the Army in July 1995. He lived on post with a wife and daughter. Nutt also had two children who reside in Blackshear. Nutt's parents live in Douglas, Ga.
