The following pictures are soldiers from the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) patrol during a June 16 raid mission in the town of Mosul, Iraq, with the goal of detaining Iraqi and non-Iraqi nationals involved in terrorism and other activities that are a threat to American soldiers. The soldiers from the 101st are surprising and capturing these individuals in the early hours of the morning while they rest in various small hotels in the town of Mosul. U.S. Army photos by Spc.
