The Justice Professional is a quarterly refereed journal published by Gordon and Breach Publishers. It deals with substantive criminal-final justice and criminological issues and addresses concerns such as victim advocacy, police science, corrections, security management, drug abuse treatment, justice and morality, crime and public policy. The journal also explores the often neglected areas of community-based corrections, restitution, victim-offender mediation, victimology and current controversies, policy dilemmas and future trends and predictions within the criminal justice system. Articles are also accepted in the area of policy making and public administration.

Manuscripts should not exceed 25 type-written, double spaced-pages. All footnotes, references, table figures and illustrations must be on separate pages. Tables, figures and illustrations must be camera ready on eight and one half by eleven inch wide paper. Footnotes and bibliographic citations should follow the journal style based upon that followed by the American Psychological Association. Since manuscripts are sent out anonymously editorial evaluation, the authors name and affiliation should appear only on a separate covering page.

The Journal of Ethnicity in Criminal Justice is affiliated with the Minorities and Women section of the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences. The first issue will be published in Spring 2002.This unique multidisciplinary journal will be the only publication that focuses exclusively on crime, criminal justice, and ethnicity. As a peer-reviewed journal, we encourage critical analyses of ethnicity and criminal justice; empirical data on criminal justice and ethnicity; international and cross-cultural perspectives of ethnicity and criminal justice; and articles that explore the broad themes of ethnicity and criminal justice and advance theory, research, and policy in these areas. Four copies of each manuscript should be submitted.Volume 1, No. I-Spring 2002. Volume 2, No. I-Spring 2003. Manuscripts should be approximately 15-20 pages, double-spaced with a one-inch margin on all sides, and should include an abstract of 100 words, a title page, and a brief biographical sketch of the author(s). References, citations, and general style of manuscripts should follow the Chicago style (as outlined in the latest edition of the Manual of Style of APA). References should be double-spaced and placed in alphabetical order.

The Department of Criminology invites applications for a 9-month, tenure-earning, Assistant/Advanced Assistant Professor position beginning August, 2004. The successful candidate must have: Ph.D. by time of appointment for appointment as Assistant Professor (ABDs will be considered; those without Ph. D. at time of appointment can only be appointed as Instructor), ability to effectively teach graduate-level research methods and graduate-level introductory to intermediate statistics, and a strong potential for research productivity.
