Ensoniq ESQ-1 and ESQ-M Synthesizers



The ESQ-M (which is the model I have) is identical to the ESQ-1, except that it is a rack mount version with no keyboard, and does not have a built in sequencer. Since i do all my sequencing on my Machintosh, I won't have any information on the sequencing windows - you'll have to look elsewhere for that.

To write a patch - you have to change something in the patch, or you just get this stupid "replace edit prog" dialogue box in the window. Once you've changed something, hit "write" and scroll thru the characters of the name, modifying as is your wont, and when you get to the patch number on the right, it'll start blinking. Pick your patch, number or stay on that patch if you want, and then hit "write" again, and it should stop blinking. it'll say "writing program" for a moment and you're in.
