The bloodgaurd serve as protectors to the faculty of the Acadamie Arcanus. Their function is to hazard themselves in the event of the threat of physical danger to the faculty member they are oathbonded to. Bloodgaurd members shall be aislings of the Monks Path due to the unique combination of abilities possessed by these individuals that make them particularly qualified to serve as protectors to the council. Additionally their avoidance of masses of metal armours and weaponry serve to prevent disruption or interference with the arcane abilities practiced by those of the wizards path. Each Bloodgaurd will be oathbonded to one specific faculty member. The Bloodgaurd will be recruited by the individual faculty member subject to the approval of the Captain of the Bloodgaurd.
