ACADAMIE
ARCANUS
Whereas
we the undersigned, being Aislings of the Wizards path do
recognize a need for the advancement of Arcane Knowledge, do
hereby enact and found this the Academie Arcanus. This Academie
shall serve as a place of instruction to those of the Eldritch
Arts and a Forum for philisophical and cerebral discourse of all
things Arcane. We set our minds to this task by the will of
Luathas.

BY
LAWS
MEMBERSHIP : Membership
shall be open to any follower of the Wizards Path regardless of
elemental specialty, City of Residence or Religious Affiliation.
Membership in the Academie shall be given upon recommendation of
an Academie member in good standing subject to review and
approval of the Dean of Admissions. The Arcanus Adeptus shall
retain the sole right of veto of admittance, in the case of
denial of admittance both the sponsor and aisling denied
admittance shall be notified by a member of the faculty as to the
reasons for denial. Unsponsored aislings may contact the Dean of
Admissions directly for initiation. All members of the Academie
have the basic duties to uphold the by-laws of the guild and
perform recruitment of prospective applicants.
MEMBERSHIP
OF "DUAL PATH" AISLINGS: a wizard who
"dual path's" is no longer a wizard and must be
honorably retired from the ranks of the acadamie if they
switch to another path. Likewise if an aisling of another
path becomes a wizard, they are in all good sooth a
wizard and therefore qualified to be screened for
admittance to the acadamie. All members who have
subpathed between Deoch 18 and Deoch 23 will retain
membership in the Acadamie but are ineligible to serve as
council.
FACULTY : The
Academie shall consist of the following officials: The Arcanus
Adeptus and his personal staff consisting of; Scribe, Treasurer,
Regent, Acadamie Chaplain and Captain of the Bloodgaurd. The
additional offices of the Faculty shall be held by The Chancellor
of the Elements, The Dean of Admissions, The Dean of Events, The
Dean of Instruction and the Dean of Events. The duties and
requirements of office shall be set down in the AMENDMENTS of the
by laws of the charter.
RULES OF CONDUCT
: All Academie members shall act in a responsible manner
and committ no action which might cast discredit upon the
Academie. All Academie members shall conduct themselves with
proper decorum and cordiality toward fellow Academie Members. No
Academie Member shall denegrate, belittle or otherwise demean a
fellow Academie member. All members shall make every attempt to
attend meetings within their prospective curriculum and general
meetings. All faculty members will make every attempt to attend
faculty and general meetings, if they are unable to attend a
letter shall be sent via parcel or e-mail to the Dean of Students
in the case of general members, Chancellor in the case of Deans
and Arcanus Adeptus in the case of staff. Any faculty member who
is absent from three consecutive faculty or general meetings
shall be reviewed for dismissal of office for negligence.
Students may be recommended for disciplinary action for tardiness
from meetings by the Dean of Students. Disputes between Academie
members which do not involve Academie issues will be kept private
and not engaged in at meetings, gatherings or on the Academie
Announcement Board or Academie Chat. Disputes involving Academie
business and any disciplinary action levied by the Academie shall
be kept in strict confidence of Academie members only and shall
not be discussed or appealed to city officials, mundane officials
or aislings not members of the Academie. The Academie shall
retain soveriegnty over any actions undertaken as a group and
shall be answerable to no outside authority save the actions do
not violate mundane official law. Allegations of misconduct or
appeals for moderation of disputes shall be forwarded to the
Arcanus Adeptus for appropriate action. Any Dean found to be
unworthy of their office shall be removed from that office by a
majority vote of the presiding Faculty. Removal of Staff Members
shall be at the sole discretion of the Arcanus Adeptus. Removal
of the Arcanus Adeptus shall be by 3/4 majority vote of the
entire Academy and ratified by a majority vote of the presiding
Faculty. All academie members alleged to have committed a
violation of these rules of conduct shall be entitled to a fair
hearing before the Disciplinary Council. The Disciplinary Council
shall be presided over by the Captain of the Bloodgaurd and shall
consist of the Chancellor of the Elements and all the presiding
Deans. Punishments and disciplinary actions shall consist of
those set forth in the AMENDMENTS.
MEETINGS : All
routine meetings shall be conducted as dictated by the AMENDMENTS
and shall be duly announced on the Academie Events Calendar. Any
special sessions shall be announced via the Academie Announcement
Board and upon the News section of the Academie Ledger
((website)). All attempts will be made to contact those critical
to attendance personally via parcel letter and/or e-mail. Faculty
meetings shall be conducted once per four double moons ((once per
month)), General Academie Meetings shall be held one double moon
((one week)) after each faculty meeting. Meetings of the
Discplinary Council shall be held as needed at the discretion of
the Captain of the Bloodgaurd.
AWARDS AND
COMMENCEMENTS: All awards shall be set down during a
routine General Meeting, Commencements shall be announced at
General Meetings after the ceremony of commencement is conducted
within the Temple of Choosing by the Arcanus Adeptus, Staff and
Deans. All recommendations of commencement shall be presented by
the Dean of Students at a regularly scheduled Faculty Meeting.
The following awards are enacted within these by-laws and shall
be enscribed upon the SCROLLS OF HONOR recommendations for awards shall be presented to the
Faculty at a regularly scheduled meeting of the Faculty:
Adeptus
- The title of Adeptus
shall be retained by a former Arcanus Adeptus who step
down in good standing.
Professor
- Any Dean who steps down
or retires in good standing shall have the title of
Professor inferred upon them in perpetuity.
Alumni
- All Academie members who
depart the Academie in good standing shall be entered
into the Alumni rolls.
Honorary
Graduates - This
title shall be inferred to those aislings not Academie
members in recognition of unique contributions to the
Academie or to the advancement of arcane knowledge.
Luathas
Seal - Shall be
conferred to those Academie Members who make significant
contributions to the advancement of Arcane Knowledge.
Order of
the Martyr Emeritus
- Shall be awarded to those Academie Members who committ
long standing service to the Academie or those who by a
single act shall be judged to be worthy of this award by
the Faculty.
INITIATION
OF NEW MEMBERS :
Upon acceptance of admission by the Dean of Admissions a
new Acadamie member shall be initiated within the temple
of choosing, such initiation will take place in the
presence of the Dean and the prospective new member's
Sponsor. Initiation will take place only after the
prospective member has reviewed the Acadamie Charter,
By-Laws and amendments. The admission process is
delineated below:
SCREENING
BY DEAN OF ADMISSIONS: Consists of screening for
appropriate skills/spells/lectures and legend
marks for insight level as stipulated by the
by-laws followed by a test of either a written
composition or a task.
INITIATION
BY DEAN AT TEMPLE OF CHOOSING: Hereafter the Dean
will forward a letter to the Arcanus Adeptus
notifying the Arcanus Adeptus that the member has
been found acceptable. The applicant will then be
carried on the Acadamie rolls as an initiate.
CONTACT FOR
REGISTRY INFORMATION: The Scribe will contact the
Initiate for appropriate Registry Information.
ATTENDANCE
AT ACADAMIE ORIENTATION NIGHT: All initiates MUST
attend an Acadamie Orientation night (SEE
CALENDAR FOR DATES/TIMES) to be culminated by an
examination by the faculty of the Acadamie
Arcanus. Initiates passing this final screening
will be formally admitted into the motley at Abel
following the Acadamie Orientation Night.
REGISTRY
UPDATED BY SCRIBE
****Readmission of
Alumni: Alumni shall be readmitted
at the discretion of the Dean of Admissions...the
requirement to attend Acadamie Orientation and General
meeting prior to readmission may be waived subject to
approval by the presiding Dean and Arcanus Adeptus.
Formal readmittance at Abel shall take place after
registry information is received.
AMENDMENTS OR REVISIONS
TO BY-LAWS: All Amendments or Revisions to
these by-laws shall be ratified by a majority vote of the
entire Academie and ratified by a majority vote of the
Faculty and Staff. Veto right shall be retained by the
Arcanus Adeptus and may be overcome only by a 3/4
majority vote of the entire Academie and subject to
ratification by 3/4 majority vote of the Faculty and
Staff. Amendments or Revisions to the by-laws may be
proposed by any Academie Member in good standing at a
General Meeting of the Academie.

AMENDMENT
I: DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF OFFICE
I
(a) FACULTY:
I
(a)(1): Acadamie Administrative Staff
- ARCANUS ADEPTUS: The Arcanus Adeptus shall serve as the
Academie Leader and shall preside over all
Faculty and General Meetings. The Arcanus Adeptus
shall perform all duties as set down in the
by-laws and shall additionally conduct all
commencement and award ceremonies. The Arcanus
Adeptus shall reserve final decision authority
over any expulsions from the Acadamie or Motley
Wars. The Arcanus Adeptus shall serve as the
Academie's Ambassador to all city and mundane
officials. The Arcanus Adeptus shall at a minimum
possess the following skills/secrets: Srad,
Athar, Creag, Sal, Graymere Lecture, Elements
Lecture, Guide Lecture, Mentor Lecture and
Wizardry Researcher (3). The Arcanus Adeptus
shall appoint Staff Members as needed and shall
appoint all Deans upon recommendation by a
majority of the acadamie membership. The Arcanus
Adeptus reserves full veto right over any matter
affecting the Acadamie and is enabled to grant a
geas for any darn reason he sees fit
+chuckle...chuckle+.
- REGENT: The Regent shall assist the
Arcanus Adeptus in maintaining the structure of
General Meetings and preside over General and
Faculty Meetings in the Arcanus Adeptus' absence.
The Regent shall receive and coordinate
submissions for new business during the General
Meetings. The Regent shall additionally serve as
the Academie Ambassador to other motleys, guilds
or individual Aislings. Assist in maintaining
order at General Meetings, Chair the Disciplinary
Council and maintain records of disciplinary
actions. The Regent shall additionally moderate
disputes between Academie members, receive
misconduct allegations for presentation at
Disciplinary Council Meetings and conduct
Disciplinary Council meetings as necessary. The
Regent Shall be an Academie Member in good
standing and shall have served as a current or
former city guard and current or former City
Demagogue. The Regent may grant an Acadamie Geas
to any member of the acadamie for any reason
he/she deems suitable.
- SCRIBE: The Scribe shall maintain all
Faculty and General meeting minutes, assist the
Arcanus Adeptus in the maintenance of the
Academie Ledger ((website)) and receive class
transcripts from the Deans (or instructors). The
Scribe shall have primary responsibility to
notify necessary members of convening of special
sessions excepting those of the Disciplinary
Council who shall be notified by the Regent. The
Scribe shall additionally ensure that all meeting
minutes, awards, commencements, Class
Transcripts, initiations and disciplinary matters
are enscribed upon the proper news area of the
Academie Ledger, and shall be primarily
responsible for mantaining the Acadamie Library
and Museum and publishing works thereto (upon
approval of the Arcanus Adeptus). The Scribe
shall additionally maintain the Acadamie
Directory and assist the Arcanus Adeptus in any
other administrative matters as needed. ((The
Scribe shall possess a general working knowledge
of HTML and website design as the present Arcanus
Adeptus is somewhat HTML impaired)). The Scribe
is empowered to grant an Acadamie Geas to any
member who contributes significantly to the
compendium of the library or museum.
- TREASURER: The Treasurer shall maintain
the Academie Coffers, in that capacity the
Treasurer will receive donations and track the
loan of any Academie Assets to ensure their
return or reimbursement for loss. Additionally
the Treasurer shall be responsible for
coordinating fundraising activities and the sale
of "perishable" goods such as potions,
reagents and the like at a modest price to
Academie Members as required. The Treasurer shall
be an Academie member in good standing and shall
be a current or former Respected Citizen. The
Treasurer is empowered to grant an Acadamie Geas
to any member who contributes significantly to
the material assetts of the acadamie.
- ACADEMIE CHAPLAIN: The Academie Chaplain shall serve to
provide for the spiritual needs of the Acadamie
Membership. In this respect the Chaplain will
perform invocations/benedictions prior to
Academie Meetings and official functions, grant
religious geas as appropriate, assist in the
creation of red potions and consecrated items as
appropriate and such other religious ceremonies
or functions as may be deemed necessary. The
Chaplain though not a voting/ruling member of
council will advise the faculty on all matters
regarding spiritual or religious matters. The
Acadamie Chaplain shall be a prior follower of
the wizards path and a member of the acadamie in
good standing prior to being elevated to the
position of Acadamie Chaplain. The Acadamie
Chaplain shall be allowed to have one apprentice
to train in the case of their departure to ensure
continuance of an appropriate candidate for his
replacement.
- CAPTAIN OF THE
BLOODGAURD:
The Bloodgaurd will be recruited by either the
Captain of the Bloodguard or the individual
faculty member subject to the approval of the
Captain of the Bloodgaurd. Uniforms, meetings,
training and rules regarding conduct within the
bloodguard ranks other than provided for
elsewhere in the by-laws is subject to the
discretion of the Bloodguard Captain. The Captain of the Bloodguard
shall additionally moderate disputes between
Academie members, receive misconduct allegations
for presentation at Disciplinary Council Meetings
and conduct Disciplinary Council meetings as
necessary.
I (a)(2):
Acadamie Operational Staff: Chancellor and Deans will meet once per
doublemoon for Wizard area of Temple of Choosing to
coordinate acadamie functions and discuss recommendations
to be presented at the next faculty meeting. The
requirement for the Dean Meeting is waived if a faculty
or general meeting occur within that double moon. If a
Dean cannot attend, one of his/her Adepts will be
designated to attend.
- CHANCELLOR OF DEANS: The Chancellor shall preside
over the Deans. The Chancellor is
responsible for the everyday happenings of the
Acadamie. In the event of the prolonged
absence of a Dean, the Chancellor is authorized
to perform the functions of any Dean or appoint
an interim Dean. The Chancellor will also be
responsible for setting up Dean meetings and
presiding over those meetings. In the event of
the absence of both the Arcanus Adeptus and the
Regent, the Chancellor shall assume soverignty
over all acadamie functions. The requirements to
serve as Chancellor consist of: Mor Level
proficiency in their chosen elemental path,
Graymere Lecture, Guide lecture, Elements
Lecture, Wizardry Researcher (3), Elementalist
(1) and shall be of the 41st or higher insight.
They must additionally have completed guideship
of at least one aisling to the 11th insight and
have served as an elemental Dean in good standing
for a minimum of 3 Deochs. The Chancellor is
empowered to grant an acadamie geas to any member
or Dean who distinguishes themselves by
significant contributions to the day to day
conduct of the Acadamie Arcanus or in any area
the Deans are authorized to grant a Geas.
- DEANS: The requirements to serve as
Dean consist of: Mor Level proficiency in at
least one elemental secret, Graymere Lecture,
Guide lecture, Elements Lecture, Wizardry
Researcher (3), Elementalist (1) and shall be of
the 41st or higher insight. They must
additionally have completed guideship of at least
one aisling to the 11th insight and must have
attained the minimum ranking of Graduate within
the Acadamie. Any Dean is authorized to appoint
such assistants as they deem necessary from the
Adept rankings to aid in the performance of their
office with the understanding that such
assistants will not hold council seats nor serve
as official faculty members.
- DEAN OF ADMISSIONS: The Dean of Admissions
shall be responsible for screening
prospective initiates for admittance into
the Acadamie Arcanus and forwarding
recommendations of admittance to the
Arcanus Adeptus. In this regard the Dean
of Admissions will examine the applicant
for basic knowledge of wizardry
(appropriate to the insight level of the
applicant) and the appropriate
qualifications for their ranking level,
the Dean of Admissions will additionally
administrer an examination consisting of
either a specific task to be performed or
a written work. The Dean of Admissions is
empowered to grant an Acadamie Geas to
members who distinguish themselves by
referral of numerous qualified applicants
to the Acadamie.
- DEAN OF
INSTRUCTION:
The Dean of Instruction shall be
responsible for developing and
implementing a curriculum of instruction
for members of the Acadamie in concert
with the Arcanus Adeptus and Chancellor.
The Dean of Instruction will additionally
schedule classes, appoint instructors and
ensure the conduct of classes. The Dean
of Instruction will also be charged with
encouraging lore and scholarly research
by members of the Acadamie, review of
said lore and research and presentation
thereof to the Arcanus Adeptus for
inclusion in the Acadamie Library. The
Dean of Instruction is empowered to grant
an Acadamie Geas to acadamie members who
distinguish themselves by their scholarly
works or who contribute significantly to
the conduct of instructional sessions of
the Acadamie.
- DEAN OF EVENTS: The Dean of Events shall
develop and present events appropriate to
be conducted as official Acadamie
functions. The Dean of Events shall
additionally coordinate the planning and
conduct of any approved events and serve
as the primary point of contact for
official acadamie events. The Dean of
Events is empowered to grant an Acadamie
Geas to any member who distinguishes
themselves by noteworthy contributions to
the conduct and planning of official
events.
- DEAN OF STUDENTS: The Dean of Students
shall be charged with monitoring the
progress of acadamie members within the
curriculum including screenings for
advancement and forwarding
recommendations for advancement to the
faculty. The Dean of Students shall work
in concert with the Dean of Instruction
in tracking class attendance at Acadamie
Lessons.
I (b) ACADEMY
CURRICULUM RANKING: To advance in ranking the acadamie
member must meet all applicable qualifications. All new
applicants will enter the acadamie ranks as an apprentice
until all other requirements for advancement are met
regardless of insight.
- INITIATE: An initiate is a wizard of any
insight that is currently pending official
admittance into the Acadamie following screening
by the Arcanus Adeptus or Regent.
- APPRENTICE: Beag Lamh Level proficiency in
at least one elemental secret, 11th through 19th
insight.
- SCHOLAR: Novice Level proficiency in at
least one elemental secret, Graymere Lecture,
Wizardry Researcher (1) and 20th through 40th
insight. Formally attend 1 class/discussion on
the Acadamie History, 1 Class/discussion on the
Acadamie By-Laws, and 1 Miscellaneous
Class/discussion. Class instructor must submit
attendance to Dean of Students.
- GRADUATE: Mor Level proficiency in at
least one elemental secret , Graymere Lecture,
Guide Lecture, Wizardry Researcher (2) and 41st
through 70th insight. Refer 1 qualified applicant
into the Acadamie and serve as that applicants
sponsor instructing them on Acadamie customs
until such time as the applicant reaches Scholar
ranking. Attend 2 history courses/discussions, 2
By-Law courses/discussions, and 2 miscellaneous
courses/discussions. Class instructor must submit
attendance to Dean of Students. Appear before
board of Deans and be evaluated on knowledge of
Charter and Acadamie History.
- ADEPT: Ard Level proficiency in chosen
elemental path and at least one strioch based
spell , Graymere Lecture, Guide Lecture, Elements
Lecture, Wizardry Researcher (3), 71st or greater
insight. Teach a minimum of 1 course/discussion
in History, 1 course/discussion in the By-Laws,
and 1 Miscellaneous course/discussion subject to
evaluation by the Dean of Instruction. Evaluated
in an "actual hunt environment" by
council of Deans. Examination Arcanus Adeptus and
Regent. Adepts will be responsible for teaching
courses/discussions as appointed by the Dean of
Instruction. Adepts serve as administrative
assistants (without council authority) to the
Deans on Acadamie Business matters when so
appointed by a Dean.
AMENDMENT II: CUSTOMARY
PUNISHMENTS
Customary Punishments for act of
misconduct not elsewhere provided for in the by laws are as
follows: Public reprimand at a General Meeting by the Academy
Arcanus, Probation for a period set down by a vote of the
Disciplinary Council, Material or Monetary recompense either to
the offended party or to the Acadamie Coffers, Temporary
Expulsion for a time set down by the Arcanus Adeptus as
recommended by the Disciplinary Council or Permanent Expulsion.
In the case of Permanent Expulsion the offender shall be deemed
an "enemy of the Academie" and shall be stripped of all
honors, titles and privileges previously or presently held within
the Academie. All disciplinary action shall be posted upon the SCROLLS
OF SHAME and shall be removed
only at the discretion of the Arcanus Adeptus. The end of
Probationary Periods or end of Temporary Exile shall be posted
upon the NEWS
section of the Academie Ledger.
AMENDMENT III: MEETINGS
III (a): Meeting Uniforms
All attendees at General meetings shall
be garbed in their Acadamie Uniform consisting of the following
in the appropriate color for that element, these being FOR
MALES Srad - Red, Athar - White, Creag - Green, Sal - Blue.
The uniform colors FOR FEMALES Srad - Red, Athar - Yellow,
Creag - Green, Sal - Blue. The only individuals which shall bear
a staff at General Meetings shall be the Regent and Elemental
Deans. ELDRITCH PATH uniforms will correspond to those
below but will bear either white or black as the main color
scheme.

CURRICULUM MEETINGS: At the discretion

IV: MOTLEY TABLET/CHAT GUIDELINES
In addition to those measures provided
for in the by-laws the following tablet/chat guidelines are
applicable.
- Keep any personal disputes OFF of
the tablet and motley chat. If ye hast a disagreement not
involving Acadamie business, and feel ye art in need of
some kind of closure, feel free to contact the Captain of
the Bloodgaurd as it is one of the duties of that office
to help mediate disputes.
- Second....and this will be without
exception, there will be NO profanity (even masked
profanity) on this tablet nor Acadamie Chat and NO
bashing of each other.
- There will be no derogatory or
inflammatory posts inscribed towards any certain
religious faith or city.
- There will be no innately heretical
posts inscribed, nor posts referring to alternate
characters or their actions. All aislings regardless of
player are considered to be separate and distinct
individuals.
- Any innately heretical (OOC)
converse on motley chat will be enclosed in double
brackets both at the beginning and ending of the
statement, i.e. ((I played this really cool computer game
the other day)). This provision will include attempts to
engage in a "role play" not within the theme of
Dark Ages. This provision will also apply to languages
other than English (this provision is included due to the
fact that most of the players of dark ages and Acadamie
members are English speaking peoples or understand the
English language...it is not an attempt to exclude or
encourage prejudice against any nationality or race).
Languages NOT English may be used but will be conducted
in the same nature as heretical speech, i.e. appropriate
brackets.
- The Acadamie Arcanus is a
Politically Neutral organization, thus no discussions of
a political nature not affecting specifically the wizards
path or the Acadamie in general will take place either on
the motley chat nor the motley tablet.
- If ye whine endlessly about OOC
matters the Arcanus Adeptus will be forced to smack ya in
the head with a bag full o' wet noodles.
V: THE BLOODGAURD:
The Bloodgaurd serve as
protectors to the faculty of the Academie Arcanus. Their function
is to hazard themselves in the event of the threat of physical
danger to the faculty member they are oathbonded to. Bloodgaurd
members shall be aislings of the Monks Path due to the unique
combination of abilities possessed by these individuals that make
them particularly qualified to serve as protectors to the
council. Additionally their avoidance of masses of metal armors
and weaponry serve to prevent disruption or interference with the
arcane abilities practiced by those of the wizards path. Each
Bloodgaurd will be oathbonded to one specific faculty member. The
Bloodgaurd will be recruited by either the Captain of the
Bloodguard or the individual faculty member subject to the
approval of the Captain of the Bloodgaurd. Uniforms, meetings,
training and rules regarding conduct within the bloodguard ranks
other than provided for elsewhere in the by-laws is subject to
the discretion of the Bloodguard Captain.
V(a): Structure of the
Bloodgaurd: The Bloodguard shall be comprised of
three separate groupings consisting of; Bloodgaurd, Legionnaire
and Cadet as outlined as follows:
- Bloodguard: Bloodgaurd shall
be those members of the Bloodgaurd Force who are actively
"oathbonded" to an individual faculty member.
Assignment of Bloodgaurd to a faculty member are subject
to the approval of the Bloodguard Captain. In the event
of a resignation or removal of a faculty member, the new
faculty member may either elect to keep the present
Bloodgaurd or have another assigned by the Captain.
Oathbonded Bloodgaurd shall be of approximately the same
insight circle as their faculty member or slightly above.
Bloodgaurd are limited in number to the number of faculty
positions.
- Legionnaire: The bloodgaurd
reserve force. These are members of the Bloodguard force
who are of sufficient martial prowess to be oathbonded to
a faculty member but have no oathbond. Oathbonded
Bloodgaurd who's faculty member resigns or is removed
will become Legionnaires until such time as they are
again oathbonded. The Legionnaire ranks are limited to
not more than 6 total.
- Cadets: Cadets are those
members of the Bloodgaurd Force who are in training to
become Legionnaires or Oathbonded Bloodgaurd. Cadet
forces are limited to not more than 4 total.
V(b): Testing of the Bloodgaurd:
In order to meet acceptance into the Bloodgaurd a candidate must
in addition to being interviewed by the Captain of the
Bloodgaurd, must face a martial trial. The candidate will be
grouped with a wizard of the acadamie of the same insight circle,
they will then proceed to Mileth Crypt and venture as deeply as
possible. Their performance in protecting the wizard they are
grouped with will be directly evaluated by the Captain of the
Bloodgaurd.
V(c): Mobilization of the
Bloodgaurd: In the event of an acadamie emergency
such as "the time of chaos" or an acadamie battle, the
entire bloodguard force will be mobilized and activated. All
Bloodguard including oathbonded bloodgaurd will fall under the
direct command of the Captain of the Bloodguard subject to the
direction of overall martial strategy of the Arcanus Adeptus or
Regent. In the event that the Captain of the Bloodguard feels the
Arcanus Adeptus, Regent or Faculty are hazarding themselves
uneccesarily he may override any order or martial strategy issued
by the Arcanus Adeptus or Regent in order to provide for the
safety of the Arcanus Adeptus, Regent or Faculty. In the absence
of the Arcanus Adeptus and Regent, the Chancellor of Deans shall
provide leadership in martial strategy in concert with the
Captain of the Bloodgaurd.
V(d): Discipline of the
Bloodgaurd: Disciplinary hearings or other
functions to ensure the discipline and good conduct of the
bloodgaurd shall be at the sole discretion of the Captain of the
Bloodgaurd with the exception of actions which would cast
discredit upon the Acadamie in the view of the populace. In this
case the Arcanus Adeptus or Regent have full authority to demand
action by the Captain of the Bloodgaurd.
