I would like to speak briefly on who we are and what our purpose is we being the Acadamie Arcanus are the oldest school of wizardry in Temuair but what is it that we do, we exist for one sole reason. To encourage the discovery of the intricacies of the wizards path, to share that knowledge with others of our path, and to serve as a place of instruction and forum for philosophical debate regarding the arcane arts. Some have questioned whether this mission is necessary urging me to "change" who we are and admit those not of the wizards path. This has been debated on many occasions. The Acadamie must and will remain true to its vision and its reason for existence lest we become just another motley. As to if we are still needed that be easily illustrated by the results of the last Luathas Challenge wherein our members had a great advantage over other wizards of Temuair in knowledge and insight into the wizards path.

So it can be seen, we are successful. It can further be seen in the situation that I know personally of many advanced wizards who have but advanced themselves in martial prowess yet neglected the full richness of their path; not knowing the intricacies of researching or enchanting nor even understanding perhaps why these elements we wield, act the manner in which they do. There is still much work for the Acadamie and we can also look for why we should remain as we are by the fact that whilst many motley's come and go being forgotten in the dust we remain, strong and sure in our purpose and certain in our resolve.

This is precisely due to two reasons : one, the devotion of our members and two, that we have a reason to exist long may Luathas grace us with clear sense of purpose.
