The Alaska Freegold Co. is a newly-formed mineral exploration and mining venture, but we are not new to mining. We support the Alaska Prospectors and Miners Association, and are proud to sponsor Explorer Post #400, dedicated to the geosciences.

Our current active project is the Blue Ribbon Mine, in the Dutch Hills, Alaska. Our primary focus and interest is in precious metals and gemstones. We have other properties, mostly located in the Cache Creek/Yentna and Valdez Creek mining districts, in various stages of development. We welcome property submittals, tips, rumors, and proposals.

But, we're not just about mining. We are developing Cultural Tours in cooperation with local museums and tourism agencies, focused on the contribution that mining has and continues to have on the Matanuska-Susitna Valleys and the rest of Alaska. We work with community schools and others to educate the public about mining. And we are exploring the market for a number of products made from the minerals of our mines.

That's one of the reasons we have put this site up: to share with you a little glimpse into A Day In The Life Of A Miner. We get so many questions about what we do, that we have created this site in the hopes of educating the public. I bet you'll be surprised. I'd like to be able to personally invite everyone up to the mine, but of course that is impossible.
