Chapter 22: .Changes.

(Drusilla in Taylor's body)

Drusilla opened her eyes to a very unfamiliar room. She had just woken up so it took her a while to actually take everything and allow it to register. OF COURSE! She wasn't "Drusilla" anymore. She was "Taylor Hanson". Quietly, she stretched her arms out and got up out of bed. Suddenly, she realized how itchy the area between her legs was. "Man, I'm never going to get used to being a guy," she muttered quietly. Walking by Isaac, and then stepping over Zac, who was sprawled across the floor, she found her way to the bathroom without too much trouble. Rubbing her eyes, she stared at her new reflection through the mirror. "Hm...yes, Taylor needs a haircut. And the color! Blech! No, I can't dye his hair black, not yet, anyway. That's too drastic. Oooooooooh!!!!! I have pretty blue eyes!!!" she thought to herself as she reached for a toothbrush. When was the last time she had been in a human's body, anyway? After a quick shower, she went in search for a pair of scissors. "A HA!" she thought, as she rummaged through the cabinet just below the bathroom sink. "Time to give Tay-Tay a new lookkkk!!" she chuckled. After a great deal of snipping, she was satisfied. "Just the way I like it. Nice and short!" Now fully awake, she made her way back to the room to call Isaac and Zac from their peaceful (or not so peaceful) slumber.

Clearing her throat first, she knelt down by Zac's ear, and screamed as loud as she could, "TIME TO WAKE UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Quickly, she ran across the room to Ike's bed, leaned over his ear, and yelled "YOU TOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Instantaneously, Zac and Ike were on their feet at once looking around the room in confusion. Obviously, they weren't awake.

"WHAT DO YOU....TAYLOR??!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!" Ike yelled, rubbing the sleep from his eyes.

"YEAH, WHATS THE BIG....OH.....MY.....GODDDD...what DID you do to you HAIR?!" Zac asked in horror as his voice squeaked loudly in reaction to his surprise.

"What, don't you like it?" Drusilla shot back.

"Ummm....let me think about that one...NO!!!!!!!!" Ike yelled sarcastically. "Mom and Dad are going to have a fit when they see you!!!!!"

"BOYS!!! What is all this yelling???" Walker asked as he stumbled up the stairs. "What am I going to have a fit abou---" he started to say, but cut himself off when he saw Taylor...or...really, Drusilla.

"Hey Pops, what do ya think?" Drusilla snickered as she flung her arm around Walker's shoulders.

"What do I think?? WHAT DO I THINK!?!?! What has gotten into you, Taylor??? I mean I know you don't remember much...but you CANT just go and cut your hair!!!!!!"

"Uh...yes well actually...I DO remember. I woke up with my memory back, looked in the mirror...saw that I need a change, and well...snip snip!" she told him, yawning.

"You're hair isn't the only thing that's changed, young man," Walker scolded sternly, still half asleep. Actually, he sounded drunk.

"Yeah, you're telling me..." Drusilla muttered quietly as she reached for her crotch again. Zac picked up on this action and started laughing hysterically, until Drusilla shot him an ice cold glare.

"You listen to me, and you listen to me good. I know you've been through a lot, and I KNOW that you just got your memory back...but...you're whole attitude has changed. This isn't you, Tay. C'mon, stop doing this..." Walker said, half repremanding, and half pleading.

"If only he knew..." Drusilla laughed to herself, but simply replied "Sorry, dad, I guess I'm just a little bit out of it. I should be fine soon...I'm just getting back into the swing of things..." she smiled...giving her most convincing pity face.

"No, son...it's alright. It's my fault, I should have more patient. You guys woke me up...I was just kind of out of it myself," he said. "I'm so glad you're back to normal again, Taylor," he said happily, proceeding to hug his son. Then he let out an enormous yawn, and then presumably headed back to bed.

"Tay....??" Ike spoke hesitantly.

"That's me!" Drusilla responded, cheerfully.

"So...you really do have your memory back?" he asked.

"Yup. I told you I would, didn't I?" she said, rolling her eyes.

"Wow...how did you know though, seriously?" Zac questioned in awe.

"I dunno. I can't quite explain it, it was almost like...a premonition i guess..." she lied.

"Wow. Cool." Zac said, an avid believer in the supernatural.

"Yeah...i guess it is..." she laughed.

"Hey Tay...do you remember what happened in the accident? I was wondering...like...what really happened, you know?" Ike asked.

"Yeah, I remember," Drusilla scowled. "I was on my way home...and I was driving and I saw this wicked hot girl. I couldn't take my eyes off of her...I dont know why, she was just so gorgeous. Before I knew it, I somehow steered into the wrong lane and hit some girl...oops."

"Gee, Tay...you sound so remorseful..." Zac snorted.

"Yeah, yeah, she should have been paying more attention, anyway."

"How can you say that?!" Ike shouted.

"No, I really am sorry. It's just...I'm kind of numb. It was a huge ordeal, when I realized what happened, right before I lost my memory, I went into shock. I'm still in shock, I think. I can't believe I killed someone. I don't ever want to get in a car again, I don't think..." Drusilla sobbed slightly. Hey if you're gonna play it, you might as well play it up all the way.

"Yeah...I'm sorry, Tay. I didn't understand..." Ike said very pitifully.

"Yeah, same here," Zac said distantly. *********** (Back to the REAL tay and angel)

"Hey, Taylor...she's started her magic.." Angel sighed.

"How do you know?" he asked her suspiciously.

"It's some weird radar thing I have. I just know. Intuition." she said, not really paying attention to him.

"WELL?!" Tay shouted.

"Well...what?" she asked.

"WHAT'S GOING ON?!" he jumped around without one ounce of patience.

"She's telling them the story...HER interpretation of the accident...ohhhhhh man..........."

"WHAT WHAT WHAT!!!!"

"Taylor, how do you feel about having short hair?" she asked seriously.

"What the hell? What kind of a question is that? I like my hair long, obviously......" he replied, completely baffled.

"Wellllllll...it's a very good question...because, uh...how am I going to explain this...Taylor, sit down..."

"Why?! I wanna stand!!!" he protested.

"I said sit down." and she motioned her hand...bringing Taylor down to the floor whether he liked it or not. "Okay...Tay, you have a new...look."

"What do you mean...exactly?"

"Um...Drusilla went a little scissor happy...and she gave you a haircut." she said cringing at the thought of Taylor's reaction.

"WHAT?!?! HOW SHORT?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!"

"Why don't you see for yourself?" she told him, as she brought the viewing cloud into the room.

"Oh my god, she's dead, she is DEAD..." he shouted, pacing back and forth.

"Yes, Taylor...we know that already."

"I mean figuratively!!!"

"Oh...sorry."

"My HAIR!! Do you know how long it took to get it like that?"

"Yeah...but if it makes you happy...she was going to dye it black...but decided it would be too drastic right away. If we nip this problem in the bud, then I'm sure there's nothing to worry about," she smiled, trying to be helpful.

"Oh god...I don't like this one bit..." Taylor said turning a pale shade of white before passing out, leaving Angel to bring him back into consciousness.
