Dr. Bruce Weber was honored by
members of the Board of Directors of Animal Aid Network for his ongoing
assistance with reduced cost spay and neuter for Verde Valley pets.
"We are so very grateful to Dr. Weber," said
Animal Aid Network treasurer Lori Erickson. "He is the only
veterinarian in the area who offered to assist us with low-cost spay and
neutering."
"We have been able to help Animal Aid Network out
with 409 spay and neuter procedures in the past year or so, but it
couldn't have been done without the able assistance of our staff and
assistant doctors, Virginia Froehlich and John Smith," said Weber,
who received a plaque from the organization.
Weber and his staff were also able to help out with
reduced rate emergency animal care in the beginning, but Erickson is
quick to point out, "We need lots more money from donations to
continue that program, |

and our spay and neuter
program can always use donations, as well."
"I'm pleased to assist Animal Aid because they
have remained focused on their goal, which is to spay and neuter as many
animals as possible, thereby decreasing animal overpopulation,"
said Weber, who also runs a low-cost vaccine clinic during January each
year. He donates a portion of the proceeds from that event to
Animal Aid Network.
The Four Paws Thrift Shop on Main Street in Cottonwood
accepts gently-used items as donations. Funds from the thrift
shop, which is run by volunteers, go to support the work of Animal Aid
Network.
The majority of the organization's clients come from
the Camp Verde and Lake Montezuma area.
