The debut performance of "The Host" and "The Bitch" was in Fall 1963 at Ligoa Duncan Galerie des Arts on East 81st Street, New York City. Peter Share reviewed it for The Village Voice. "The Bitch" cast were professional actors Veronica Castang (later a Toni Winner) and Armand Storace; "The Host" cast, Gerald Cherkes, Robert McCarl, Meredith Hale and Dean Mendenhall, were all students for a 'Morality Play' in the Noh Tradition meant to be played by non-actors. The Jack Kallish production was in 1965.
