The Grump

Today I saw somebody,
With a very grumpy look.
Their face was all in ridges
Like the pages in a book!

I’ve never seen them happy.
Their face is always in a pout.
They might even be attractive,
If they’d take that "grumpy" out!

Perhaps, this person’s happy--
And full of fun and wit
But the world will never know it--
"Cause they’re always in a snit!

Maybe they’re just not aware
That life can be smooth, like silk
But with their bitter attitude
They’d even sour milk!

I just may have a notion--
How to take away that frown.
I think I’ll stand ‘em on their head
And turn them upside down!
