I looked across the lake
I heard the water
Lapping against the shore
Memories
Memories rolled back
To my mind
To the time
We walked
The shore of Lake Superior
Now this lake of mine
Isn't Lake Superior
I'm about
Two thousands miles
Away from there
Memories
What beautiful memories
About a man
A lady and a dog
Who are very much in love
With each other
BUT
Something keeps them apart
Now we only
Have
