Two Become One

Two lonely people found each other
Longing to meet their soul mate,yet afraid
One was free ~ yet one was not
We chose to move forward
We finally met in a far off land
To exchange our vows beneath the autumn coloured trees
Our spirits were joined as one
What a wonderful time it was
Laughter and tears we shared with each other
Walking hand in hand along the beach
Just sharing and doing things together
What a wonderful time we had
It was like we had been together for all our life
Then it was time to part
The airport was filled with people
Yet our eyes could only see each other
Two hearts were broken that day as we parted
One was sent soaring through the sky
The other watched as the plane got smaller
Until ~ finally it was out of sight
Now I pine for my soul mate
To return to me again
Not knowing when that time will ever come
Only our love holds us close together now
