The Soaring Butterfly
There was a butterfly
Every breeze had music
But time passed and she grew weary
There were whispers of hope
But something was wrong
But the winds buffeted her
I must fly, she cried to the sun in the sky
But she struggled again
And she saw the sun
That loved to fly
See the sights and
Float with the wind
Every leaf had color
Every sound was excitement
So the butterfly soared
It was no fun being alone
And the butterfly fluttered her wings
And called out to the skies for love
And the wings of love appeared
And she fluttered with joy
And she grew excited
The dream of her life made her cry
And the butterfly fluttered desperately
To seek love she thought was way too high
She fell with no sound
And quivered with dead leaves on ground
And her wings still fluttered, and fluttered
I must fly, she wept, I have to fly
But the wind moaned and the air became still
And the butterfly felt she was losing her will to live
And her wings fluttered so
And a gentle breeze swept her up
Away from the ground, she went up and up
And she fluttered with joy
And lo and behold there were wings near her
Butterflies had come to befriend her
