REV. JESSE BUSHYHEAD
Born in September, 1804 in the Cherokee Nation, now Tennessee. REV. JESSE BUSHYHEAD was a prominent minister to the Indians. His mother was Nannie Foreman, sister to Katy Bigby. His wife's name was Eliza Wilkerson. His father was Bushyhead (Stuart),or "Oo-no-du-tu" who was a son of Capt. John Stuart. Jesse passed away in July, 1844 and was buried in the Old Baptist Mission Cemetery, north of Westville, Adair County, Oklahoma. |
