Both of these mods were pretty straightforward but I had originally expected them to be easier. After the old shift knob was unscrewed following MOMO's instructions left about an inch of the shifter stalk exposed between the knob and the boot, plus the provided screws wouldn't provide a firm enough grip to prevent the knob from twisting. To solve these problems I cut about an inch off the threaded portion of the stalk and using a provided rubber spacer, jammed the knob down onto the stalk. I haven't had any problems after a year and a half and the new knob gives a much better grip than the stock one. My only complaint is that the aluminum gets HOT in the 100+ degree heat. I just slip a sunglass bag over it to keep from getting scalded.
The parking brake handle was somewhat of a pain because I didn't know that the plastic handle was so well secured to the metal sleeve inside it. I had to cut the plastic piece off using a crappy little hacksaw so it took me quite some time. After I got the old handle off the new one simply slipped over the metal sleeve and was secured with an allen screw. By doing this I think I picked up about 15 HP. Not really but it did dress up the interior some more.
