A Tribute To Rene D'Amico-A Life Long Keith Fan
Rene D'Amico passed away after a long illness on February 27, 2004. I was priveledged to have known Rene through the wonders of the internet and together we shared the pleasure of being die-hard fans of Keith Richards and his music. Rene sent me many French magazines he had collected over the years, which feature pictorials on Keith, some of the scans you will find on this web page. Rene knew Keith personally back in the early 70's and was at Villa Nellcote in the South of France when the Stones were recording Exile on Main Street. I was fascinated by Rene's tales of his time at Nellcote and helped him become part of the Genesis Publications book "Exile". In that book you will find quotes from Rene D'Amico about his experiences there. I'd like to dedicate the song "Torn and Frayed" from Exile on Main Street to Rene D'Amico. Rest in peace brother!
