Maybe at the time you read this, some of the games below won't be unusual anymore ;)
More games will be added soon !

Choy Lee Fut
by Positive, for MSX 1 systems.

This isn't the best martial arts game ever made for the MSX, but it's quite addictive, and should keep you entertained for a while.
Fight with crescent waves of armed and unarmed opponents, and see how far you can go.

Chase HQ
by Ocean, for MSX 1 systems.

Chase HQ was a big hit at the arcades, and could be described as one of the sons of Out Run.
Your objective is to pursue criminals with your turbo boosted car, and then crash on them until they stop.
If you really like this game, I advise you to take a look at the PC Engine version too.

Jaws
by Screen 7, for MSX 1 systems.

Just before you ask: NO, in this game you won't play as the Shark ;)
Your real objective is to guide your little submarine through the depths of the ocean, searching for treasures while avoiding hostile creatures.
Mr White Shark will eventually appear for a snack, so stay alert and get out of its way !
In spite of the lack of sound, Jaws is still an enjoyable game. Give it at try !

Norseman
by GCS, for MSX 1 systems.

In this excellent and addictive game, you must help the Viking protect his precious helmet from the monsters, which come in increasingly faster waves.
The helmet can be moved by carrying it around, but while doing so you can't attack !

De Sprinter
by Eaglesoft, for MSX 1 systems.

De Sprinter is a dutch simulator game which allows you to take control of a ... train ! Instructions are in dutch, so if you can't read it you will have to be patient.
Thanks to Richard Smit for sending this rare game.

Contra
by ???, for MSX 1 systems.

This misterious game was apparently converted from Spectrum, as you can see from the monochromatic look of the snapshot I've taken.
Since it was "hacked", we can't say if it was produced by Konami or not.
Anyway, this game could be described with just one word: UNPLAYABLE.
Contra is amazingly hard, and its controls will fight against you.
Download it only for a good laugh.

Ultraman
by Bandai Tsuburaya Pro, for MSX 1 systems.

This is a cool game about Japan's most loved superhero: Ultraman (or, in Japanese: "urutoraman")
The best part is the fighting, where you can spank monsters and finish them with your Ultra Ray !   B-)

Dragon Ninja
by Imagine, for MSX 1 systems.

This is a poor conversion of the classic arcade beat'n'up by Data East.To tell the truth, this is a conversion of Spectrum's conversion, which was already bad enough.
Your mission is to rescue the president, which was kidnapped by ninjas. Fight your way through several stages until you reach the final enemy.
Since this game was originally on tape and its loader has not been adapted to the disk version, you will have to choose which stage you want to play ... (Just like that terrible Thunderblade conversion).
For collectors only.

African Trail Simulator
by Positive, for MSX 1 systems.

This game remembers me of the BMX stage of California Games (by Epyx).
Your objective is to cross the desert and win the rally. For that you will have 80 minutes (real time !).
Before you start the race, consider carefully all bike models, pilot profiles, and all belongings that you can carry with you.
(Just be sure to grab that med kit, ok ? ;)

Terrorpods
by Icon Design, for MSX 1 systems.

Terrorpods was originally programmed by Psygnosis for the Amiga and other systems, and eventually found its way to the MSX too.
Terrorpod is the name of a biomechanical being, whose main purpose is to destroy everything it sees.
Your goal is quite simple: you must protect your Detonite extraction site against all Terrorpods.
This is not an easy task, since Terrorpods are hard to kill. When wounded, they heal themselves quite fast. Be sure to bring their damage level to 100%, or they will raise again.
Pressing 'I' during the game will bring you some game controls.
