"Sometimes I wonder...will you ever...remember me?"
I have been mesmerized by the voice and music of Tim Buckley since 1968. A young man from California wrote a letter to Hit Parader magazine requesting more recognition for Tim Buckley and Bob Lind. I already had a couple of Bob Lind albums. So I wrote a letter to this young man inquiring who Tim Buckley was. This young man wrote me back and suggested that I introduce myself to Tim in progressive order with his albums to derive full enjoyment of him. He noted that I would be awed by the power of his voice, which I heretofore had never heard. But...when I did hear it for the first time, my musical taste had changed forever. I had grown. I loved the soaring ending on "Once I Was", and the touching beauty and poignancy of "Morning Glory". "Morning Glory" has always ranked high as one of my Buckley favorites. It's message rings so very clear yet told in such a beautiful way.
When I was working at a local insurance company, the photos of Tim and Jeff Buckley graced (no pun intended)my desk, and since I live in what is often called "the sticks" of New Jersey, most people really didn't know who Tim and Jeff were. So when asked, I would try to invite people to explore the beauty of their music. I don't know if I got any converts. For those of you unfamiliar with Tim's music, please explore him in progressive order like I did. See him in his embryonic stages as his music grew and went into several directions of uncharted waters.
