CONVERSATION SIX—"Our Certain Destiny" I feel tired. I’ve been typing this stuff into the computer non-stop, on top of everything else. I just want to commune with the Christ for once. You have had this pleasure for some time. It is now time to give as well as receive. Rest gently, my brother, and it will be effortless. Many of your brothers and sisters do not understand who I was. I wish now to tell them a bit more. I, Jeshua ben Joseph, also known as Jesus, was a human being not unlike every other human being on the Earth. There was nothing extraordinary or special about me that set me apart, despite what many would believe. It is time to remove this idea, which is an impediment to your awakening. As long as any of you see me as different, the gulf will remain between where you are and where I demonstrated you can be. I am a wayshower. I walked a path you all shall walk—and, in fact, are now walking—for to walk as the Christ is the destiny of every man, woman, and child on Earth. It is as inevitable as the blossoming of flowers each spring, or the waves endlessly cascading onto the shore. You can no longer avoid this destiny—though you all, to some extent, seek to do so. It is sad to see you clinging to your smallness. Your fascination with matter now becomes a limitation. There is so much more! You live in but a fraction of your being. Your unfulfillment shall remain until this simple fact is acknowledged and embraced. You are oh, so much more. It is as though you have compressed your sense of self into one of your fingers, forgetting you are the entire body—and more. How can you be truly happy when you have excluded most of what you are from yourselves? The time has come to turn inward to the Source from which you came and in which you always reside. Remembrance depends on this, and everything now rests on your remembrance. It is so easy, so close! It is only a fraction of an inch away. Soon you will find the true source of your beingness and wonder how it ever could have been forgotten. One of the core messages I come to bring at this time is that "becoming" is coming to an end. Spiritual evolution is in its last phase for so many of you, who will now awaken to realize what has always been. If you suddenly awaken from a long dream, do you look back upon the night’s sleep as an evolutionary process that brought you to awakening? I think not. A dream is a dream. Certainly you came to dream the dream, for the experience of doing so. Dreaming the dream of separation allowed you to bring the light into places it has never gone before—a very worthy journey. And now the dream is ending. Soon you shall look back on the dream as a faint memory—illusory, ephemeral. There really is not much longer, despite the appearances in the world, I assure you. On some level I feel this, yet I look around and see what a mess the world is, on so many levels. The environment is in bad shape. There’s still war, still hunger, still disease. We can’t even seem to get along with each other very well. Were a drunken man to come to your house, break your most precious furniture and insult your family, would you judge him so? You would see he was inebriated, unconscious, detached from his true estate. In the morning, he would most likely be reasonable and filled with remorse. Humanity is in much the same circumstance. Soon, the effects of the drug of matter-polarized consciousness will lift, and the fullness of what you all are will be clearly revealed. The spell of matter is ending. The intoxication passes. As surely as you have forgiven your friends when they over-drank, surely, too, will you all forgive yourselves when the sobriety of awakening returns. It is this simple. All that you see that belies this is the result of humanity’s slumber. Can this really happen quickly? Yes. It shall come to pass within your lifetime.
