Lori (Lewis) Benedict
Location: Clinton, for the last 12
years. We lived in Bloomington 2 years, Warrensburg 1 year, and O'Fallon, Illinois 2
years.
Family: Married to the same
wonderful man, Jerry Benedict, who has to be a saint, for the last 17 years. Three
beautiful, wonderful, biological children: Justin 15, Logan 14, and Trisha 12. We also
have custody of my cousin's son, Tyrone Byrd, 17. Tyrone was Illinois' 171 state wrestling
champion this year and is an incredible young man.
Job: Working at Clinton High School
for 5 years (9 in the school district). I am an asssistant teacher in the Behavior
Disorder Classroom. I go into inclusion classes with the special ed kids, co-teach two
Social Skills classes, and have two special ed study halls. I love my job very much and
really love having the summers off with my kids.
Leisuretime Activities: I have 4
very busy children so I don't get a lot of leisure time. When I do I read and we
love to travel. I have been to every state in the continential United States,
....also Canada and Mexico.
Favorite Memories: I can't remember
as much as I would like. I think I smoked some things I shouldn't have and it may
have affected my memory a bit. I do remember crusing the square, riding around in the
country and smoking things I shouldn't have, and being chased by someone's old boyfriend
when Kim Mills and I were with Todd and Dave when we weren't supposed to be. Oh, those
were the days!
Future Plans: I want to enjoy my
children, watch them fast becoming the adults they are going to be. Travel more....
and take a romantic 20th anniversary get-away with my husband in three years.
