Roger Massey
Location: I've been living in Los
Angeles since June '99. Prior to that, I lived the last 3 years in St. Paul, MN
(quite a change in climate!). Before that, I lived in Clinton and Chicago
suburbs.
Family: Well, since I finally admitted
to myself that I was gay, I have "adopted" all of my friends' kids and my
nieces, step-nephews and step-nieces. They all love me, so that's all that matters
to me. I have had a couple of significant others, but for now am single again.
But at least the weather here is nice... hahaha!
Job: I currently work as a
programmer/analyst for Warner/Elektra/Atlantic. This is the Time Warner company
responsible for getting millions of CD's and Movies out to the stores every month. I
also get to roam around the Warner Brothers Studio Lot next door and watch them tape
movies and TV shows (nice perk, huh?) I am also working as a computer consultant for
the 3M company in my "spare" time.
Leisuretime Activities: I have 2
beautiful Shelties (miniature collies) that I love taking for walks. I also still
love the theatre, movies, music and riding my bicycle along the beach and watching the
beautiful sunsets there.
Favorite Memories: I have such happy
memories of high school that it's difficult to pick out a few, but I loved performing.
Singing and watching the girls tear up and cry was a kick. I also enjoyed
performing in the plays, maybe because I got to be somebody else, since I didn't accept
who I was then. I also enjoyed working on the homecoming floats. I especially
enjoyed seeing my friends every day. I miss that most of all.
Future Plans: I'm hoping to buy a house or yacht to live on next
year. I still can't decide. I'm not sure how the dogs will react to living on
the water!! I also want to get back into theatre very soon. Maybe I will even
start doing some "extra" work on some movies around here on the weekends.
Miscellaneous: Well, if you were
reading above, I guess you already know. I'm sure most of you suspected that I was
gay anyways. I just want to say that I have always wished you all good luck in life.
It's a struggle, but hopefully the reward is worth the effort. I hope to see
you all at the reunion. I miss your smiles and laughter! Take care everyone!!!
