Aight man, This is Critikal's Noreaga page dun "what, what!", represent that thug shit my niggaz. "Yo Nore know this and Nore know that, Nore know gat's why, cause Nore buck dat...". What what can you say about this superthug dun, he's just ill. The kid from Lefrak City, Iraq (Queens), Victor Santiago blew up the spot in 98'. Y'all want to know how busy this cat was during the the 9-8, he came out with his debut album, was one of the busiest rappers appearing on more cd's than anyone else (except Big Pun), and is working on another cd.
Nore was forced to break up with his lyrical partner in crime Capone, when Capone was incarcerated. In 96-97 their cd CNN - The War Report was an underground (the people that keep it real) hit, but was not recognized in the mainstream. If y'all didn't catch that you're first glimpse of Noreaga was probably his appearance on the Firm album "I'm Leaving", (which was a pretty bad album except for "Desperados", feat. Canibus and "I'm Leaving", feat. Noreaga). he also did an amazing job on the Onyx remix of Shut'em Down with Big Pun, He did a cut on the Fat Joe cd called "Misery Needs Company", and 2 cuts from the new DJ Clue? cd.
After Capone's blessing, Enter N.O.R.E. that's Iraq Mutha fucka you get bucked motha fucka. On this album Noreaga proves he can adapt his style to any situation. the title track is proof of his abilities and shows that he's capable of contending with the other heavy weights from the infamous borough that is Queens. Aight he can hang with them but what makes him unique from them, it's his own personal style of language he changes words says them like he wants to and how he needs them to be his own norebonics. He shows that shit best on the rough cut "Superthug", a rowdy lyrical lashing that shows his potential and prowess as a superthug.
That aint it yo, he got a lot more to come at ya with. First there is the anthemic "Banned from TV" feat. Big Pun, Cam'ron, Styles, and Jadakiss from the Lox (Ruff Ryders). Then you got the cut "The Assignment" a verbal exchange with Maze, and Flipmode's Busta Rhymes, and Spliff Star. One of the more interesting cuts is "Body in the Trunk" the cinematic collaboration with fellow Queens rapper Nas. After you thought, aight that was a good cd this nigga comes at ya with songs like Mathematics (Esta Loca), "Hed" feat. Nature and he's got some soft shit too for a little somethin' to listen to with tha ladies, "The Way We Live" feat. Chico DeBarge; and "I Love My Life" feat. Carl Thomas this thug's charming lyrics can flip the script to accommodate any mood.
