Hello, I am doing this page because alot of traders out there need to learn how to package there items so when the person gets them there not all pissed cause there shit got fucked up. Also I think part of being a good trader is how well you decide to ship the persons new items. So below is a list of supplies and basicly how to do it so I hope maybe everyone can learn a little something from this. Also if anyone else notices anything I missed or wants to add there own ideas just e-mail me and i'll put it up here.
- Bubble Padded Envelopes Yes take your ass down to Walgreens or some shit and spend a few bucks on these. There like 70 cents each. Get a variety like 6x10 and 8 and a half x 12 ones.
- Bubble Packaging I got a roll of 12ft. of this for $2.17, try some place like Hobby Lobby or some place like it.
- Scotch Tape Very handy and cheap, go get some.
- Poster Tubes These will cost you around $3.00 and you can find them at a place that sells posters only most likely, theres normally one store like this in every mall
- Flat BIG Envelopes w/ the two things you push down Essential for sending flyers!! Once again, spend $1.00 on a pack of 5 of these.
Ok theres some basic rules for packaging
- If your going to put something in a bubble envelope, don't wrap it with bubble packaging.
- Bubble packaging should be used when your sending priority mail (2-3 day guarenteed shipping for $3.20), you have to use a priority box or envelope unless you've already packaged something and it weighs so much they have to put PRIORITY MAIL stickers all over it. Also if your sending a poster, put bubble packaging on each end of the tube so it doesn't get fucked up!
- Make sure its SEALED, most bubble envelopes come w/ sticky shit on it and you peel off a backing for it. To be sure, seal it some more, this is a good time for the scotch tape.
- When you write the address and your return address (inless you got labels, which cost like $5.00) write CLEAR!
- Put a note w/ the item(s) with your address + what he or she owes you.
- If anything, spend the extra 10 or 20 fucking cents to send first class.
- If you don't want something bent, write it 4 times (2 on each side) and put something like "Please do not bend, thank you =)", make sure you write it, the post office will stamp it too but if the postman see's you spent a few extra seconds writing it, he'll be more careful with it, this has been my experience anyway.
