Somewhere In Time

Somewhere in Time, there is someone crying

Somewhere in Time, there is someone in pain

Somewhere out There is a small child dying

Somewhere out There is a life filled with shame.

All the people have a question

Will life continue to be the same?

With everybody hurting

We want to know who's to blame

We point a finger at the victim

We turn and look away

We say her pain must be her own fault

Hopefully she gets some help one day.

Ignorance doesn't solve the problems we face

The time has come to live, to thrive

Dreams don't come true, life is not what it seems

It is an ever-lasting struggle to survive.

Indeed there's something that we all can do

We must start with the children, don't you see?

Don't let the cycle begin once again

Learning is the answer, education is the key.

We need to reach out, take back the control

Bring colour to gray, black and white

Release the dark secrets, let's begin to fly free

Banish the darkness, live our lives in the light.

All the people have a question

Will life continue to be the same?

With everybody hurting

We find the right people to blame

We have some answer now

We find the courage to break the silence

We take back control, join hands and unite

We know that everyone must start to end the violence.
