One of the fun things about animated productions, is that because each frame is drawn by hand there is bound to be small mistakes and inconsistancies. Having seen the Road Rover eps many times each, I can now say the freakin lines right along with the characters, but I still have fun looking for little things to nit pick.


Why is it that....

Why is it that Blitz's paws are tan when he's in dog form, but in "A Hair Of The Dog That Bit You" his bare feet and bare hands are seen dark brown?

Why is it that Parvo has a human ear visible on the left side of his head when his helmet is on, but it disappears when his helmet is off, showing his cat ears?

Cricket asked this question on a message board and I've wondered the same thing... Why is it that Confuseus (The wise dog of the mountain) is in dog form, but can talk?

In the episode "Take me to your leader"... How is it that there is a total lunar eclipse on the same night on opposite sides of the Atlantic Ocean?


Ummmmm....

If they play Road Rovers in England, then what do they call Shag?? Austin Powers has taught us all the meaning of that word on their side of the Atlantic.

"Let's Hit The Road"
Just before Hunter yells "To the power of the pack!!" for the first time, the back of Blitz's head is seen, and he's the same color as Hunter.


"Storm From The Pacific"
When Hunter steps out of the transdogmafier and does his little pose, one of his leg guards changes from silver to blue and back again.

In the helicoptor chase scene, while Exile is urging him to fly faster, Hunter is seen with light green eyes instead of his normal reddish brown color.

At the beginning of the episode, before they leave Mission Control, Hunter refers to the submarine as the Sub Rover. At the end of the episode when they escape the island he calls it the Ocean Rover.


"A Hair Of The Dog That Bit You"
Hunter is seen for a couple seconds without a tail. It is when he is standing atop the overturned buss preparing to shoot his tennis ball launcher at a were-wolf.


"Where Rovers Dare"
Just after Hunter and Colleen are picked up by the Tank Rover, Shag is seen driving. When the Tank Rover is hit and it bounces all over the place, Shag and the controls move from the left side to the right side.

While hiding from the rebels in the village, Blitz is briefly seen with a tail as the Rovers dash between buildings.

While the Rovers are eating dog biscuits (just before the "tanks, no tanks" scene) Exile is seen with Blitz's colors / markings.

When the rebel tank crashes through the village gate chasing the truck the Rovers are driving, the windows in the gate building disappear.

Near the end, when Colleen is thanking the injured wolf for his help, he is briefly seen wearing a Road Rovers collar. Oops! (Submitted by Lisa Bowman)


"Take me to your leader"
The Rovers are all in canine form, sleeping together in a kennel building at Camp David. Hunter is startled awake by the sound of a UFO overhead. In the next clip the dogs all walk out of different cabins with their respective owners.
