Can You Trust?

When a person has been hurt the first thing to happen is to be angry and want to strike back. And rightfully so, but one must use wisdom and when you are hurting that is not always the case. For those of us who love and trust in Jesus, He will take care of us and those that hurt us.

Romans 12:9 "Never take revenge, my friends, but instead let God's anger do it. For the scripture says, "I will take revenge, I will pay back, says the Lord." We must trust in God to take care of our enemies using whatever and whomever He needs to.

While God is taking care of our enemies we who are hurting must trust and allow Jesus to heal our wounds, spiritually, emotionally and physically. We must bath ourselves in the Word of God so that we may learn to love and forgive.

"You have heard that it was said, "You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy. But I say to you, "Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you. so that you may be children of your Father in Heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the righteous and on the unrighteous. For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet only your brothers and sisters, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same?"

Be perfect, therefore, as your Heavenly Father is perfect." Matthew 5:43-48 "Beloved, let us love one another, because love is from God; everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, for God is love."

" God's love was revealed among us in this way: God sent His only Son in the world so that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins. Beloved, since God loved us so much, we also ought to love one another." 1 John 4:7-12

The question you have to ask is "Can I trust you Jesus?" Be honest with yourself and God. Then healing can begin. It is a slow process and all God is asking for is to trust Him for 1 minute and then 2, so on until you can trust Him everyday.

Is Your Name Written in The Book of Life?

Rev. 20:11-15; "Then I saw a great white throne and the One who sat on it; the earth and the heaven fled from His presence, and no place was found for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Also another book was opened, the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, as recorded in the books. And the sea gave up the dead that were in it, death and hell gave up the dead that were in them, and all were judged according to what they had done. Then death and hell were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire; and anyone whose name was not found written in the Book of Life was thrown into the lake of fire."

For many years now I have heard lots of excuses from all different people about why they couldn't serve Jesus or accept Him as their personal Savior. Some were good, others very creative and then some just plain bad ones. 'I have to take care of my family; I'm not ready to give up the bar scene; I'm too bad for Jesus-no one could ever love me.'

Which excuse have you used to keep from coming into the Kingdom God and walking in the presence of Love? No excuse will hold up on the day of judgment. For each of us have or will have the opportunity to know of Jesus' saving grace. The devil has lied to many and said you have to be just right before Jesus will accept you. It is a lie, Jesus will accept you in your sin, because He comes into your heart and cleanses all sins. There is NOTHING you have done that can keep you from Jesus! He waits to hear from you, all you have to do is ask!

When Jesus comes to live in your heart, He then cleanses you from all unrighteousness and writes your name in the Book of Life! If you're not sure if your name is written down then repeat the SALVATION PRAYER. After Jesus has come into your heart He will help you live a life that will hold up on the day of judgment.

Oh, by the way, if you think your life will be perfect after Jesus comes into your heart, then think again! You will still have good days, bad days, and so-so days. But how you approach each day will change for you, because you now have Jesus leading the way and He will, if you allow Him to, take your heavy burdens and exchange them for His, which are light. Your name is written in the Book of Life when you accept Jesus in your heart!
