Princess Goldmoon Goldmoon belonged to the Que-Shu tribe, a tribe of plainsman. Goldmoon, who was daughter to the current chief of the tribe, fell in love with a shepherd named Riverwind, although she was betrothed to another. To prove he was worthy of Goldmoon, Riverwind was sent on an impossible task of returning with a sign of the true gods. Upon returning to the tribe with the Staff of Mishakal, he was proclaimed a fraud and ordered to be killed by stoning. While trying to shield Riverwind from the stones, Goldmoon and her love were teleported (by the staff) to safety. |

Not knowing
what the staff was they decided to go to the Seekers (followers of new
gods) and see if they had answers; however Takhisis, Queen of Darkness,
had other ideas. In the Inn of the Last Home, Goldmoon and Riverwind met
up with the Companions and traveled with them to Xak Tsaroth. There she
slays the black dragon, Onyx, with the staff. However, she dies in the
process. She comes back to life by the power of Mishakal, her goddess,
and made into a true cleric. The companions also retrieve the Disks of
Mishakal.
In Pax Tharkas, the slave-prisoner Elistan (the eventual high priest of Paladine) is healed by Goldmoon. They start to travel to Silvanesti with the companions. Along the way Goldmoon sings in Raistlin's traveling road show in Port Balifor and thus converts more people to the new gods. She and Riverwind travel with the companions through Flotsam, Old Istar, and Palanthas. There they depart from their friends to care for their future child (which she will have in autumn). They keep in touch with Tanis and Laurana, who's children come out to visit occasionally. |
