Ingrediants
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup light brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. ground black pepper
3/4 lb. semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
Beat butter and sugar with an electric
mixer until fluffy. Beat in
eggs one at a time. Stir in
vanilla. Sift next 6 ingredients together
in another bowl. Add to butter
mixture and beat until just blended.
Stir in chocolate chips. Refrigerate
dough at least 1 hour or up to 1
day. Preheat oven to 350°F.
Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls onto lightly buttered baking
sheets, spacing them at least 1-1/2
inches apart. Bake 10-12 minutes,
until browned. Let stand on
sheets 3 minutes before transferring
to racks to cool.This recipe
serves 12 people. Because this
recipe is for a particular size pan,
it adjusts
the number of servings only in multiples of 12.
