"Tiff, what's up? You're acting all weird on me. What? You don't believe in talking anymore?" Chloe said to her friend. Tiff opened the door to the room that she was sharing with Chloe, and walked in not answering her.
"Hello?!? Earth to Tiff, I'm talking to you. Is something wrong?"
"Is something wrong?!? Yes something is wrong!!! You stole Nick from me!!! That's what's wrong!!!" Tiff dropped her bag next to her bed, and she began to pace back and forth.
"Stole Nick from you?!? I didn't steal him! I'm just giving him a chance! Why don't you try and give Brian a chance? He's a real nice guy..."
"I don't want Brian! Shit, how fuckin' stupid are you?"
"Excuse me?!? What the fuck is that sopose to mean?" Chloe replied raising her voice a bit.
"You knew how much I liked Nick, you knew how long I've liked him. Why did you do this to me?"
"What are you talking about? I haven't done a single thing!!!"
"Oh really?!? Then why were you two practically fucking on the plane ride here?"
"What?!?" Chloe was in shock at what her friend just said to her.
"You think I didn't see you two? I'm not as blind as you think I am!"
"Come on Tiff, it was just a little kiss..."
"But you knew. That's what hurt me the most, that you knew how I felt and you did it anyway." Tiff turned away from the conversation, she knew if she didn't, she would cry in front of her friend.
"Ok, listen to me here," Chloe lowered her voice," When we first found out who we were sitting next to, yeah I worried about what you were going to think. But I figured that the guys had chosen to sit next to a certain one of us to get to know us better. I gave Nick a chance, and now, it's almost like he's the greatest thing that has ever happened to me. I never thought you would be this stubborn about this. I honestly thought you would give Brian a chance too. He seems like a really nice guy, you shouldn't pass him up. I know you know I'm right. And for all it's worth, nothing you do or say can ever stop me from getting closer to Nick. You're just going to have to live with it..." And with that, Chloe left the room in a fury. She went off to find Nick, leaving Tiff to think to herself.
When Chloe got to Nick's room, she was a little relieved of what just happened in her room. She knocked on the door, and waited for an answer. When Nick opened the door, the first thing she did was to take hold of his face, and give him a long deep kiss.
"Hey," he said, wrapping his arms around her waist. "What's that all about?"
"Nothing, just comming to spend some time with you..." Nick ran a hand of his through her hair and kissed her lips.
"Maybe you should come in for a while." He smiled down at her.
"Maybe I should..." She answered kissing his lips once again. Nick grabbed one of her hands, and guided her into the room. Just as he closed the door, Tiff passed by the room. Her mouth dropped open, and tears began to form in the corner of her eyes.
Tiffany walked through the halls, trying not to cry. She was totally disoriented. She looked at the numbers on the rooms, they all looked the same to her. She couldn't remember where her room was or what number it was. Why is this happening to me? God, I'm over-reacting. Shit man, Chloe was right. I gotta relax. Maybe I should try to find Brian... Almost as if he was reading her thoughts, a door opened and Brian stepped out of the room.
"I thought I heard someone walking by. You seem lost..." He said, leaning on the doorway.
"Oh, not lost. Just trying to get away from everything. I'm not having a very good day, as you already know..." Tiff said walking over to Brian.
"Well, why don't you come in for a bit. You can relax. We could talk some too..." Brian asked her, scratching his neck.
"Umm..." Tiffany thought to herself for a moment. She thought of what Chloe had told her, about giving Brian a chance. "Ok, I think I'd like that..." He opened his arms to the room, and motioned for her to come in. Tiff went in the room, and sat on the bed. As Brian was closing the door, he hoped that maybe this time, Tiffany would actually talk to him...
From the moment the door closed to Nick's room, him and Chloe couldn't keep their hands off each other. Chloe's arms held him tight around the neck, while his did the same around her waist. With every kiss he gave her, Chloe's legs weakend more and more. She was hardly able to stand anymore. Nick noticed, and he gently picked her up, and carried her over to the bed. He placed her on the bed, and he layed next to her. Her mind began to race, hundreds of subconsious messages came rushing to her. Nick leaned over and kissed her, making all the thoughts fade away. Without her knowlegde, her arms moved around his neck. As their kissing became quite intense, he gently glided his hand down to Chloe's thigh. Chloe's mind jerked. She took a hand of hers, and moved Nick's off of her leg.
"Nick," she said, softly into his ear. "Not now."
"What do you mean?" He returned, slowly laying back down next to her. Chloe moved, and placed her head on Nick's chest.
"Nick, it hasn't even been a day yet that we've known each other. If we go too far now, what's there to look forward to?" She asked, taking hold of his hand. He let out a sigh.
"You're right, it's just, I don't know. The more time I spend with you, the more I want you."
"Believe me, the feeling is mutual. But we'd be stupid to make a wrong move now." Chloe paused. "Do you even have protection?" Chloe looked up at Nick, and he gave her a look. She knew he didn't have any.
"There's no need to rush into things. We have all summer ahead of us. Let's just take things one step at a time." Chloe suddenly felt a little relieved, but disapointed that she said what she did. She wanted Nick so bad, but she didn't want to mess up anything. He played with one of Chloe's curls.
"Chloe, for you, I'll wait as long as I have too..." he silently said to himself.
Tiff was sitting on one edge of the bed, while Brian was on another. There was this awkward silence that filled the room. Brian decided to stab the tetion.
"So what brings you to this part of the hotel? Your room isn't anywhere around here, is it?"
"No, my room isn't around here. I was just wandering around. Chloe and I got into a fight earlier..."
"Oh... Was it about..."
"Yeah, that. She just really got to me this time. I'm trying to get over everything. Put this all behind me. Start over..." She looked over at Brian, and he seemed to be real uncomfortable. She moved a bit closer to him. "So how about you? What's new in your life? Anythign you don't tell the public about you, that you can spill to me?" Brian began to smile.
"Well, what you see is what you get with me. I'm not extravagant or anything... I'm just a normal guy, doing something I love to do. That's all." Brian smiled over at Tiff. She had never really noticed it before, but he had the cuttest smile. She couldn't help but stare at his eyes. They were the deepest blue she had ever seen on a guy.
"God," Tiff said to herself. "Brian has really nice eyes. They're so blue. Just like... Just like Nick's..." Suddenly, tears began to drip down her face. She began to cry lightly. She wipped the away.
"I'm sorry," she mumbled. "I just got a whole bunch of emotions hitting me at the same time..." She began to cry again. Brian moved next to her. He wrapped his arm around her shoulders. He lightly kissed her forehead, then the tip of her nose, then her tear streaked cheek.
"Don't cry," he murmured. "I'm here for you." Tiff leaned her whole body against Brian's. He held her tight and waited 'til she had stoped crying to begain to speak.
"Tiffany, I have to tell you this... From the momment that I saw you on the video, I knew that you and I were, were meant to be. I knew we haden't even met yet, but I just knew you were the one. I may have even fallen for you..." Tiff wipped her eyes, and stared at Brian.
"Honestly?" She asked, not knowing if her truly meant it.
"I mean every word of it." Tiff wrapped her arms around his neck, and pulled his head down to her face. She gave him a sweet kiss, and pulled away. The two of them stared at each other, than brought their lips to each other's once more. Tiff thought to herself.
"Why am I doing this? It feels right, but I'm just going to end up hurting him. I don't want to hurt this guy. He so sweet, kind, loving... Maybe I can get used to this... No... I can't... Oh, but this just seems so right..."
Back in Nick's room, the two of them were simply sitting on the bed in silence, in each others arms. Chloe was deep in thought.
"Hey, are you okay?" Nick asked with a look of concern in his eyes.
"Yeah... I was just thinking about Tiff, that's all..." Chloe sighed.
"Aw, don't worry about her, she'll get over it..."
"I don't know about that. Tiff trusted me, and..." Chloe wasn't able to finish her sentance. She got up and headed for the door.
"Hey, where are you going?" Nick got up and grabbed her hand.
"I have to go see her..." Chloe started.
"But I want you to stay here, with me." Nick whinned.
"I'm sorry, but she's my best friend, and I would like it to stay like that."
"Please..." He looked at her pleadingly. She shook her head slightly in return. "Can I come with you then?" Nick questioned.
"I don't know..."
"Please," Nick grinned.
"Come on." She held onto his hand, and lead him out the door.
Nick and Chloe made their way back to Chloe's room, and found the room to be empty.
"When I left, she was still here, I don't know where she could be." Chloe said.
"I think I might have an idea where she is..." Nick grabbed her hand and pulled her out of the room. He lead her through the hallways, turning left an right.
"Nick, where are we going?" Chloe asked, getting more lost with every turn they made.
"Where else? Brian's room" Suddenly Chloe got a bad feeling deep in her stomach. She was afraid of what would happen if Tif really was there. She began to think that it was proboly a better idea to just let her cool down... But it was too late. nick had already knoked on a door.
"Nick, I don't think this is a good idea anymore... Maybe we should go." She started to walk away, but Brian opend the door.
"Hey Nick, what bring you here?" Brian asked with the door only half opend.
"Well, is Tiff here?" Nick asked peering into the room.
"Yeah, she is, why?"
"Well, I think Chloe wants to talk to her. Can we come in?"
"Sure..." He opend the door the rest of the way, letting in Nick, who practically had to drag Chloe in with him. Brian walked over to Tiff.
"Um, someone's here to talk to you..." He pointed over at Chloe who was trying to hide behind Nick. Tiff looked at Chloe and rolled her eyes, and crossed her arms.
"Ugh! I knew this wasn't going to work." Chloe began to head to the door.
"That's right. Leave. You've never been able to stand up for yourself..." Chloe stopped dead in her tracks. She turned and faced Tiff.
"What was that?"
"You heard me. You never stand up for yourself. You always run away."
"I wouldn't talk blondy! What have you been doing? Trying to run away from the fact of me being with Nick and not you?"
"I'm not running away! You're so fuckin' stupid at times..." The girls began to raise their voices. The guys tried to calm them down, but it only got them more worked up. Chloe didn't want to lose this time, and neither did Tiff.
"I can't believe you. When we left for this trip, we were the best of friends, now, because of a little incidednt, you hate me!" Chloe told Tiff.
"Yeah, that's the way life is. Unfair."
"You know what?" Chloe lowerd her voice, and walked over to Tiff, standing incehs away from her face. "I guess you aren't as good a friend as I thought you were. You used to be someone I looked up to and cared about. Now, I think I've changed my mind. You know what Tiff, you really are a bitch." No sooner did those words come out of her mouth, Tiff slapped Chloe across the face. The impact was so hard, that Chloe needed to brace herself with the bed, or she would have lost her balance. A tear rolled down her cheek. Tiff was in total shock that she hit her once best friend.
"You deseverd that!" Tiff shakily yelled. Chloe couldn't look at her. "How can you blame this whole thing on me?!?" Tiff continued yelling. By this time, she was crying too. "And to think... At one point, I considerd you a best friend and older sister." She ripped off a friendship necklace that Chloe had given her in grade 10, and threw it on the floor. "I guess this means shit all now." With that, Tiff left the room.
Chloe sat down on the bed. Nick sat down next to her. He put his arm around her, and she cried in his arms.
"Would you guys mind if I go and see Tiff?" Brian asked.
"No, go right ahead." Nick replied. Brian left, leaving Chloe and Nick alone in the room. Chloe couldn't stop crying. Nick was eventually able to soothe her, making her relax and not cry anymore. He wipped her tears with the backside of his hand.
"Come on. Let's go for a walk. It'll do you some good..." Chloe slowly got up off the bed, and walked out the door with Nick.
Brian searched the hotel for Tiff. He had no idea where she could be. When he started to head back to his room, he noticed her curled up on a bench near the elevators. He slowly walked over, and sat down next to her.
The moment her was down, Tiff looked at him "I can't believe I hit my best friend. I actually hit her. I, I hit my best friend." She wasnt crying, just tearing up.
"Don't worry, everything will be fine." He tried to reasure her.
"No, everything will NOT be fine. This isn't like our normal fights. This time it's so much more... I NEVER hit people, not unless I'm really mad. This is so wrong. I can't believe I just did that." Tiff burried her face in her hands.
"So why don't you go and say you're sorry?" Brian asked.
"I can't. This time it wasn't my fault."
"I bet she came to apologize earlier." Brian lifted her chin and stared into her eyes. She let out a sigh.
"You're proboly right. But, I just can't talk to her, not now. I need time..."
Nick and Chloe were out of the hotel, taking a walk through the hotel's garden. It was a pieceful evening, not a cloud in the sky.
"So how are you doing?" Nick asked.
"Other than a soar cheek, I'm feeling quite better." She smiled at Nick. "Ow, that hurt." Nick laughed at her.
"Don't laugh at me..." Nick still laughed. Chloe slightly punched him in the gut.
"Hey, that hurt," he said, lightly grabbing his stomach.
"Ha, now I can laugh at you." She began to laugh, but she stopped and rubbed her cheek. "Nope, can't. Hurts my cheek too much."
"Oh poor baby..."
"Don't start with me Nick, or I'll have to kick your ass."
He laughed at her. "I'd like to see you try..."
"You don't think I'd be able too?"
"I never said that now did I?"
"Well no, but..."
"But what? Did you even stop to think that I was implying that I'd LIKE you to kick my ass?"
Chloe smiled. "Oh really..."
"Un hun," Nick smirked, he grabbed Chloe by the waist and pulled her towards him.He inhaled her sweet perfume. She gazed deep into his crystal blue eyes and smiled. Slowly she brought her lips to his and kissed him.
Tiffany had gone to the room with Brian, and went to sit on the window sill. She looked out into the garden, thinking about Chloe, Nick and Brian. Her mind was wandering, but her thoughts were interupted by something she caught out of the corner of her eye. She turned her head to see what it was, and her mouth dropped.
"Chloe doesn't learn, does she?" A tear trickled down her cheek.
Chloe pulled away from Nick, and leaned her head on his shoulder. Nick held onto her, and looked up at the hotel. He saw Tiffany sitting beside a window, staring down at the two of them.
"Oh no..."
"What?!?" Chloe asked alarmed.
"Look," he pointed up at the window. Chloe followed his hand just in time to see Tiff turn her back to the window.
"Ah shit." Chloe said. "Sometimes I wonder if she does all this to piss me off..." She began to walk to the hotel, but Nick grabbed her arm and pulled her back.
"Don't let her get to you."
"How can I not? Everytime I'm finally alone with you, she either sees us, or creeps into my head. It's going to drive me crazy!" Chloe sounded very frustrated.
"So what are you going to do? Don't you two share a room?"
"I can fix that..." She tugged on Nick's sleeve, and the two of them headed to the hotel. "I'll room with you."
"But there's only one double bed." He said.
"I don't see anything wrong with that..." Nick suddenly got a picture in his head, and he smiled. Chloe noticed.
"Don't plan on that happening buddy..." She told him, knowing exactly what he was thinking about. "We're just going to SLEEP in the same bed. Nothing else..."
She dragged him into the hotel to get her stuff.
Tiff got off the window sill, and told Brian that she wanted to rest up in her room for a bit. She headed down the halls, back to her room, trying to put what she just saw behind her.
"I can't believe her. Yeah, as if she really wanted to apologize..." She mumbled to herself.
When she got to her room, she noticed the door slightly ajar. She went inside, only to find Chloe and Nick. Chloe was packing up all her stuff.
"Where the hell are you going?" Tiff rudly asked.
"As far away from you as possible." Chloe snapped.
"Um, I think I'll wait for you in my room." Nick said, leaveing the two girls alone.
"You're staying in his room?"
"Yeah, I am. Jelous?"
"Whay would I be jelous?"
Chloe chuckeld to herself. "Please, don't try to hide it. You're tearing up inside. You can't stand to see me with Nick. Well, guess what... I don't care. I'm with him now, so deal with it. I'm actually quite surprised that Brian is still giving you a chance. He must see something in you that I don't..." And with that, Chloe grabbed her bag, and left the room in a fury, closing the door behind her.
Tiff stared at the door, partially surprised, partially hurt, and partially confused. She didn't know what to say of all this. She went and sat on the bed. She pulled her legs close to her body, and wrapped her arms around them. She placed her chin on her knees, and sighed.
"I really don't want the rest of our summer to be constant fighting. I've gotta do something. Life's a bitch, but I already knew that..."
She turned the television on, and began to do some serious thinking, all while watching some British sitcom.
Chloe was laying down on the bed, watching a tv show, resting up for the night. Nick was watching too, but not the tv show, he was watching Chloe. He stared at her and her figuare. How her ever so short shorts looked so nice on her, and how her spaghetti strap shirt was a perfect fit on her body. The more he stared, the more he needed to have her. He turned away, he knew he couldn't keep staring at her, or the urge to have her would over come him.
"This isn't right," he tought to himself. "Girls can't do this to guys. Dress all nice and strut their stuff and not exspect us guys to stare. If this keeps up, I'm not going to be able to hold anything back..."
Chloe looked over at Nick while he was turned away. She stared at him, and at how good he looked. His hair was so perfect, the way it fell in front of his eyes. His mouth was the kind that you just want to kiss over and over.
"Why did I tell him to wait? I have got to be stupid. He is just so, so, I don't know what he is. All I know is that I want him bad. God, me and my big mouth..." She thought silently.
Tiff couldn't do it anymore. She felt bad enough as it was treating her best friends the way she did, but treating Brian in a mean way too, wasn't fair either.
She got up from her bed, and closed the telelvision. She picked up her room key, and headed to see Brian. She figuared that if she was going to spend her whole entire summer with him, she better get used to it.
She tired to remember how to get to his room, and luckily, she did. She knocked on his door. No one answerd. She opend the door, showed herself in, and locked the door. No sign of Brian anywhere. She looked around, and then she realized that he was in the shower. She could hear the water running. She made herself at home, by sitting on the bed, actually she lay down on the bed, and waited for Brian to get out of the shower.
Ten minutes passed by, and she heard the shower turn off. Then a few more minutes later, she heard the door open. Brian walked into the room, in nothing but a towel around his waist.
"Nice," she said, startleing him. He turned to the bed and saw Tiff, sitting there.
"Geez, don't scare me like that... Hey, how did you get in here?" He asked, suddenly grabbing onto his towel, because it was very slowly falling off him.
"I just let myself in. The door was unlocked." Tiff stared at Brian, and she began to wonder why she could have ever faught over Nick, when Brian was like, so much hotter. Well, at least with most of his clothes off.
Brian walked over to the dresser, and searched the drawers for some clothes. Tiff decided to make this her chance to show Brian she was over all that happend before.
She walked up behind him, and wrapped her arms around his waist, putting her hands on the ends of his towel.
"Tiff, what are you doing..."
"Nothing," she replied, slowly pulling the tow ends of the towel apart. He put his hands on hers to stop her.
"That doesn't seem like nothing... Out of curiosity, have you ever read an article on what I believe in, and what I don't?"
"Yes, you don't believe in a sexual relationship before marriage, I know..." She replied, still trying to pull the towel apart.
"So do you actually think I'll change my mind for you?" He said, his voice cracking slightly.
"I'm sure you will..." She said back, begining to kiss his neck, making him losen up. As she kissed his neck longer nad stronger, he seemed to have forgotten about holding onto the towel, because Tiff was able to get it off of him, and make it fall to the ground.
"Do you really think this is working," he said, almost in a whisper, trying to calm down.
Tiff looked over his shoulder and down. She giggled, "I think it has..."
