Do you consider yourself not smart enough for a particular job or
position, or do you consider yourself unable to learn anything?
Is that because you are evaluating yourself according to your
own standards? Have you ever thought of blaming God for
your lack of knowledge or education? Did you know that
the fear of the Lord God Almighty is the beginning of wisdom and
that fools despise wisdom and discipline? Did you know
that we are to trust in the Lord with all our heart and lean not on
our own understanding? Did you know that we are to
acknowledge Him in all our ways and He will then make our
paths straight and open the doors for us? Did you know
that we are not to consider ourselves wise in our own eyes, but are
to fear the Lord and turn from evil?
So, have you done
any of the above? Can you say that you fear the Lord God
Almighty?
These are all responsibilities that God places on each of us, not just on the church goers, but all humans. He expects us to fear, love, and trust in Him above all other things. He expects us to fear Him above all things by giving Him our whole heart because He is the highest Being. He expects us to honor Him with our lives and to avoid what displeases Him. Can any of us do this on our own? Can you?
One can't and one would
fail miserably if one tried. Even I can't.
It is only through the blood of Christ that one is perfect in God's
eyes, and it is through this same blood of Christ that we become
perfected in man's eyes because when we live according to the way
God wants us to live, we end up being better in our human lives also.
How can this have anything to do with ignorance?
As it was said at the beginning, the fear of the Lord is the
beginning of wisdom.
Ignorance is the lack of wisdom and
the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, so ignorance is
the lack of fearing the Lord.
How can one get this
wisdom? By fearing, loving, and trusting in the Lord
above all other things. Fearing God above all things is
when, with our whole heart, we revere Him as the highest Being,
honor Him with our lives, and avoid whatever displeases Him.
Loving God above all things is when, with our whole heart,
we cling to Him as to our God and gladly devote our lives to His
service.
Trusting in God above all things is when,
with our whole heart, we commit our lives to His keeping and rely
upon Him for help in our every need. It is
definitely
better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in humans.
God always comes through, but humans, that is a completely
different story.
Would you like to be able to do this? You are invited to contact us for guidance and prayer in doing this. You may think that this is something way off track from being ignorant, but let me assure you, that it is not. It is the very heart of of the entire matter.
