Actually, the above picture was brought to you through the miracle of digital enhancement.  Here's what he really caught.   

    Early one evening, while anchored at either Cat or Horn Island, we saw a waterspout begin to develop.  Click on the picture to be sure and get a good view.  Fortunately, this one did not develop nor did any near our anchorage.
