Tuskino Tenshi
(translation: Angels of the Moon)
~ ~ Prologue ~ ~
For any other teen, it was a normal day, but remember, I said ‘’for any other teen.’’ That didn’t include Usagi, she wasn’t exactly normal. She had a talking cat, a past life, daughter from the future, and she could henshin with a group of her other friends, but...I guess you could call that normal…if you eat car oil and bolts for breakfast.
Usagi managed to pull herself out of bed, barely noticing the small figure next to her. She slipped on her bunny slippers and she slowly shuffled out of the room, but a tiny peep stopped her. She turned slowly, her majestic ocean blue eyes sleepily darting around the room. The crescent moon-n-bunny covers on her bed moved a bit. ‘’Luna-baka, what’re you doing?’’ Usagi stopped, Luna was at the vet. Ikuko, Usagi’s mom, had mentioned something about Luna feeling burned out lately. Usagi picked up a nearby plush toy and she flung it at the object moving under the covers. A small squeak and a sudden jump from the object was the result.
Usagi approached her bed slowly. ‘’If there are any yucky youma heads hiding in there, you can stay there.’’ Usagi said, whispering the last part.
‘’Odango Atama, what’re you doing now?’’ Shingo, Usagi’s little brother, said from behind her in the doorway.
Usagi jumped. ‘’What are you doing here?!’’ She demanded, her eyes burning into his.
‘’Relax,’’ Shingo said. ‘’I only stayed to make sure you wouldn’t start talking to a wall since your cat is gone now…but it looks like it’s worse…’’ Shingo said, his voice trailing into a slight whisper.
‘’What do you mean?’’ Usagi asked, suddenly curious.
‘’Well, just the fact you’re talking to your bed covers now.’’ Shingo ran down the hall laughing and just missing some minor plush toy bunnies.
Usagi turned from her door and sighed as she slowly closed it and locked it behind her. She plopped back onto her bed, landing on something soft and that gave off a quick SQUEAK! She rolled over and pulled the cover down to reveal a kitten, with huge rabbit ears flopping over its pinkish-white face. It cooed, and blinked its huge-kawaii type red-orange eyes at Usagi. ‘’Awwww…’’ Usagi said, her eyes getting big and woobly.
‘’Aren’t you just the cutest?’’ She asked, petting under the creature’s chin. The creature purred and cooed. ‘’I’m Konaie, guardian of the Moon from a different time.’’ The creature said in a feminine, yet childish voice. ‘’I have been sent here from the Crystal Millenimum.’’
‘’You mean millennium?’’ Usagi asked. Konaie nodded her head, her huge rabbit-like ears flopping with her movements. ‘’How far in the future is that?’’ Usagi asked.
‘’You mean how far in the past? Exactly one million years in the past.’’ Konaie’s voice suddenly worried. ‘’You see, I’ve been sent here because in the past, our Goddess Starlenity has received a message from her sister in the future that an evil force is trying to make its way to her Era. I’ve come, because Starlenity’s daughter is your cousin in the past. Her name is Kousagi (OOC: Don’t hurt me if you know what she’s from! It’s the only name that came to mind!) And she has the senshi powers equivulant to yours.’’ Konaie’s eyes seemed to tell the same story of tragedy in the making.
‘’You mean equivalent?’’ Usagi asked, correcting the small thing again.
‘’Yes, that’s what Konaie means!’’ Konaie said.
‘’Since when did you develop third-person?’’ Usagi asked, her eyes wide.
‘’Since this crazy author couldn’t make up her mind about what the poor reader would read!’’ Konaie shrieked.
Usagi glanced at the poor reader. ‘’I feel sorry for you, but we’re still in a story, so if you feel the need to leave, there’s a nifty little button called the ‘’back’’ button and it works very well!’’ She nodded. Konaie added a small smile, then she turned back to Usagi.
‘’Anyhoo, you see; Konaie’s home is in the past during the Crystal Millennium, and our Goddess is worrying about her daughter, you see, she recently went ballistic, and Konaie, nor anyone else can figure out why.’’ Konaie shook her head sadly.
‘’Soooo, why do you need me?’’ Usagi asked. ‘
’Well, Konaie and Starlenity-sama need Usagi-sama to come with Konaie back to the Crystal Millenium to fight the evil, but we don’t have much time.’’
‘’You don’t expect me to do it all on my own, do you?!’’ Usagi shrieked.
‘’Of course not! Konaie has been instructed to come here where you are, find the others, then get us all back to Crystal Millenium.’’ Konaie said.
‘’Others? You mean the other planet senshi?’’ Usagi asked.
‘’No, Konaie means the Court Senshi to Princess Kousagi.’’
‘’Wouldn’t her Court Senshi be in the past with her?’’ Usagi asked, suddenly puzzled about it all.
‘’No, Konaie not exactly sure, but when Kousagi-sama went crazy, all her Court was told to leave to the future, or the present for you.’’ Konaie flapped one of her ears up.
‘’So, you mean I have to find four senshi with you within a short time-span?’’ Usagi asked.
‘’Konaie been told to do that, but it’s more like ten senshi.’’
‘’TEN?! How long do we have?!’’ Usagi asked.
‘’A week or two, three at the most. But trust Konaie! Starlenity-sama wouldn’t send me here unprepared! Konaie have weird junk to help find the first senshi!’’
Usagi relaxed a little bit, but in her head she was thinking; ‘Three weeks at the most to find ten senshi for the Court of my cousin almost one million years in the past? Do they even remember their duty or were they sent here against their will? How come I always get this junk, how come Ami can’t? Or Rei? Or any of those other people?’
‘’Konaie best give you the new henshin locket if you’re going to go through with this evil fighting.’’ Konaie flapped her ears out of her face, then she jumped up and did a flip like Luna did once. When she landed, a Crescent Moon locket with ten different colored jewels along the side landed next to Usagi.
‘’What does this make me?’’ Usagi asked.
‘’It makes you the prettyful goddess of Crystal Tokyo, the senshi of sanctity and the Moon, it makes you; Sailor Moon!’’ Konaie said proudly.
‘’So, no prefix like Eternal or Super?’’ Usagi asked.
‘’I guess you could call yourself Goddess Moon, wouldn’t change much.’’ Konaie said, shrugging a bit.
‘’All right,’’ Usagi said picking her locket up. ‘’It’s nice to meet you, Konaie, I’m Tsukino Usagi. I’m the future ruler of the Universe and I am the reborn figure of Princess Serenity, but for now; you can call me Goddess Moon.’’ Usagi smiled.
‘’Moon Goddess Power, Make Up.’’ Konaie said, winking.
‘’Moon Goddess Power, Make UP!!’’ Usagi repeated, and in a flash of light…
