Gone, but Not Forgotten, by Philip Margolin

This is my very favorite mystery novel. A series of married women in their thirties with no children disappear. No evidence is left behind except a black rose and a note, left on the pillow. The note says: "gone, but not forgotten." In one house is the blood stains one of the wives, who oddly enough does have a child, which also disapeared. This case is declared unsoleved. Ten years later, it happens again across the country. The story ends with a surprise ending.
