Mike Nelson: The Next Shmuck Mike hopped in front of the camra during season five right after Joel left and he was more of a rambling fool than Joel was. He was working for as a temp at Deep 13 when he was hit over the head and launched into space to join the 'bots in the SOL. From the time that Mike has been at the helm of the Satellite. And alot has happened. The SOL was disconnected from the earth, ran into the edge of the universe, ended up in going through a wormhole, blew up a couple planets (he had to go to court for that one...ouch), and...well, a bunch of other stuff. He's kinda like the weird cousin or uncle who'll only show and take on responsibility only if needed. Of course, when he's not being the wierd and crazy uncle of the bunch, he's trying to find an excuse to be as goofy as the bots. |

Some Information on the man: Micheal J. Nelson Mike is a man of many talents. He's an actor, writer, director, and musicain. These things have come in handy on such a show like this. Head writter since the birth of MST3K, he has added director to his growing resume, something he shares with Kevin Murphy. Mike usually writes most of the songs that are preformed on the show. As an actor, he has not only played a guy forced to watch really bad movies, but he's also played some off beat characters on the show. Such as Lord of the Dance's Michael Flatley, Hugh Beaumont, Morrisey, A&E Network guide Jack Perkins, and Adam Deritz from the Counting Crows (a personal fav) and many more. Some might wonder Mike does between takes of the show (what? i had to think of some way to but this next part in). Well, he can be found cluded to his computer playing Sony Playstation's NFL '98 with other cast members. |
