Two games last night. Jazz-Mavs. Bucks-Magic. Both were interesting games in their own rights, but neither really had me glued to the television. I was flipping between that and the hockey games. Sacrilegious, I know.
Game 1: Bucks-Magic. In a nutshell, it's T-Mac versus the Bucks. Sure Mike Miller can shoot, but McGrady is the team. I want to see how McGrady reacts next year when Grant Hill comes back. I bet Hill will take his game down to play second fiddle to McGrady. But I digress. The Bucks are a great team. They are really deep. They have scorers galore. Allen, Robinson and Cassell average around 20 points per game. But Thomas and Hunter can go for 20 too. Add in Ervin Johnson, Scott Williams, Jason Caffey and Darvin Ham and you have a lot of players who can play. The Bucks showed no respect for the Magic. They were too talented. The Magic, well, they just don't have enough talent. One man does not a team make.
Game 2: Mavs-Jazz. Malone and Stockton are great. Sure. The Jazz has been playing well, have a deep team and some athleticism. But the Mavs aren't rolling over. They are getting more comfortable and playing better. Nash looks like a young Stockton. Nowitzki is hitting his shots now and Finley is a great player. I still think the Jazz will win in 5, but like Sacramento, the Mavs are for real.
