bout1.gif (321 bytes) Carl "Ramasses" Mc Donald was born in the Reggae country of Jamaica in the city of Kingston.Carl's musical ability was evident at an early age as he was a member of the   church choir and also represented his high school in various intramural competitions and concerts.

bout1.gif (321 bytes) In 1966, he migrated to London, England where he attended Belle School of Music and the Linton School for song writing, arranging and music composition. While in London he performed with Reggae groups such as Square Deals and TNT Road Show Band, backing such super artists like Ben E. King, the Drifters and Jimmy Cliff.

bout1.gif (321 bytes) In the early 70's , he moved to the United States. He attended the Herbert Bergoff School of music, for voice and Drama training. Having succeded, he developed his own creative style, that witch makes an indelibile impression on both listeners and musicians alike.

bout1.gif (321 bytes) He became popular with thousands of fans at the"FIRST NEW YORK REGGAE BEACH PARTY" series held at steeple Chase Park and has also been a regular at the CARRIBEAN MUSIC FESTIVALS held in Prospect Park, Brooklyn each year, he has performed with many of the who of both Carribean and American Music: Mighty sparrow, Inner Circle, Third World, Steel Pulse, The Platters, Blue Magic, Tito Puente, Eddie Palmeri and many others.

bout1.gif (321 bytes) In 1989, he moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. There, he continued to write and perform at various venues. In 1997 the REED MIDEM ORGANISATION held its first CARIBBEAN and LATIN AMERICAN MUSIC EXHIBIT in Miami, Florida. Carl was among the specially invited guest artist that performed at the showcase, held at the CAMEO THEATER. Also, he was invited as guest performance at the Cape Canaveral Music Festival, among with "The TEMPTATIONS" and the "THREE DOG NIGHTS"
