The Heep

Heep has been sold so that I can build Red. I can't afford two trail rigs.

Introducing the Heep. This is the newst member of our Jeep family. I bought the Heep in February 00 for $1000. A friend found it in Lynchburg, VA. for me, thanks Hunter...I think.

Stats;

1984 CJ-7
Motor - 258
Tranny - T176 Soon to be a rebuilt TF727
T-case - 300
Front Axle - Dana 30, open with 2.73 gears
Rear Axle - Model 20, open with 2.73 gears and one piece Moser axles
Extras/odds and ends - Nice stereo that doesn't work Replaced with stock radio out of wife's XJ and 6 disc CD changer in the center console/ammo can, broken drivers seat, hard top and doors sold to buy the new TF767 tranny, much rust.

Plans;

The Heep will have two lives.

In Heep's first life, it will receive - frame rust repair, floor rust repair, custom 2" body lift, Detroit EZ Locker in the rear, and 33" BFG MTs. During this first life I will be replacing repairing all the broken non-operating stuff. This will take about 8 months to get Heep up and running in this life.

Second life, this will be a couple years down the road. Heep will receive, a spring over using YJ springs Gonna use Heavy duty rear CJ-7 springs at all four corners, new steel body or a used YJ tub, 36" Swampers, 4.56 gears, front locker, 4 to 1 kit and twin stick shifters for the Dana 300, front warn axle up grade, shackle reversal, custom buggy springs front and rear I did some research and decided to KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) on this one, full cage, and all the nice extras.

Some of the things for life two will be done over time between the two lives. The new body will be the sign that life two has started.
